This question is for all you bashers of Islam and people who think they are experts on Islam by watching FOX news/CNN, and have not even opened up the Quran to read the words. Would you tell a Muslim the things you say on this website in front of them. Would you tell them how much you hate their religion and ask them are you a terrorist/extremist.... or would you only type with those fingers and let out your ignorant beliefs on a computer screen.

I see many henious acts committed by Christians. I cannot point my finger to all Christians and bash their religion. I cannot link acts by the terrorist Bush and label his Christianity as Extremist Christianity. I say he is far away from Christianity period..
Why don't you LEARN about the religion from a good source then you can speak out.Would it be right for me to learn about Airplanes from a doctor Would it be right for me to learn about Christianity from a Buddist monk.I rather go to a reliable source. Use your own God given mind plz

Once upon a time (75 million years ago to be more precise) there was an alien galactic ruler named Xemu. Xemu was in charge of all the planets in this part of the galaxy including our own planet Earth, except in those days it was called Teegeeack.

Now Xemu had a problem. All of the 76 planets he controlled were over-populated. Each planet had on average 178 billion people. He wanted to get rid of all the overpopulation so he had a plan.

Xemu took over complete control with the help of renegades to defeat the good people and the Loyal Officers. Then with the help of psychiatrists he called in billions of people for income tax inspections where they were instead given injections of alcohol and glycol mixed to paralyse them. Then they were put into space planes that looked exactly like DC8s (except they had rocket motors instead of propellers).

These DC8 space planes then flew to planet Earth where the paralysed people were stacked around the bases of volcanoes in their hundreds of billions. When they had finished stacking them around then H-bombs were lowered into the volcanoes. Xemu then detonated all the H-bombs at the same time and everyone was killed.

The story doesn't end there though. Since everyone has a soul (called a "thetan" in this story) then you have to trick souls into not coming back again. So while the hundreds of billions of souls were being blown around by the nuclear winds he had special electronic traps that caught all the souls in electronic beams (the electronic beams were sticky like fly-paper).

After he had captured all these souls he had them packed into boxes and taken to a few huge cinemas. There all the souls had to spend days watching special 3D motion pictures that told them what life should be like and many confusing things. In this film they were shown false pictures and told they were God, The Devil and Christ. In the story this process is called "implanting".

When the films ended and the souls left the cinema these souls started to stick together because since they had all seen the same film they thought they were the same people. They clustered in groups of a few thousand. Now because there were only a few living bodies left they stayed as clusters and inhabited these bodies.

As for Xemu, the Loyal Officers finally overthrew him and they locked him away in a mountain on one of the planets. He is kept in by a force-field powered by an eternal battery and Xemu is still alive today.

That is the end of the story. And so today everyone is full of these clusters of souls called "body thetans". And if we are to be a free soul then we have to remove all these "body thetans" and pay lots of money to do so. And the only reason people believe in God and Christ was because it was in the film their body thetans saw 75 million years ago.

my parents are heavily chirstian and so don't beleive in me having sex before marriage. I'm 16 and have a boyfriend, we've been having sex for about a month now. Last night my mum came to pick me up form y friends house randomly saying "we need to have a serious talk when we get home". I found out (after looking in my room) that she'd realised my diary so knows everything. How is she going to react? I'm scared she'll go and talk to my boyfriend and his parents.
Has anyone else gone through this?
or know what I can do or how I can get through the "serious talk"?

you know nothing. And you wonder why non-theists think you are ignorant.

I can't seem to grasp the concept of not being brain-washed is equal to not knowing anything.

Can someone please explain the logic used to come to such a conclusion?

Now that we live in a world where people are getting smarter, and information flows across the globe more easily, why have we not seen any images or proof of miracles in the world?
Simple question.

Oh and none of that Babies being born are a miracle, or people falling in love. If we can explain it, and reproduce it in some cases, its not a miracle.

This is not an attack question. I'm curious to know if it would change your mind. I know I'm inviting insults from those who hate religion, but It's ok I still want their opinions.

Like it states they should cover their head; so why don't they do it?

It says: 'every woman who prays or prophesises with her head uncovered dishonours her head'? Do women just read the bits that say men must submit?

The reasons why he/she became a sinner are:

1- The way he/she has been brought up
2- His genes which affects his/her personality
3- The circumstances in which he/she has grown up
4- His/her past experiences

The theists may say he/she has free will. He/she should find the right way.
But why is he/she in such a disadvantageous situation than the ones who has has been brought up decently, has good genes, has grown up in decent conditions etc...
Will God take this into consideration when judging him/her? Does the holy books say something like that? Are sin, heaven, hell concepts irrational?

Many of us used to think that organized religion, if we didn't subscribe to it, was something we could ignore and go on with our lives. But now we are seeing that religious zealots, guided by their "divinely inspired" scriptures, have become a menace to those of us who want to live peaceful and fulfilling lives. The true believers in all three of the Big Religions cannot be ignored any longer, because they are locked into a nihilistic course to destroy not only each other, but us with them.

God already know where we will end up, heave or hell, so we have no choice. BUT people keep saying about FREE WILL. What a contradiction of opinion.

If so, which did you convert to, Russian, Greek or another. And what prompted you to do it. Are you satisfied with your spiritual growth in this church. Do others in the church seem to live a visibly fruitful life?

The reason for asking this question is to confirm if this scripture is TRUE or FALSE:

Psa 14:1

"THE FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART, "THERE IS NO GOD" .They are corrupt (e.g. rude, sacarstic, throw innuendos, insult, swear etc ), they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good."

If we came to Y!Answers for the truth, then let no one be offended.

Cheers!

Is it like fashions, that change every now and again? Or does it vary according to country, or sub-sect? Surely it needs sorting out once and for all before judgement day so that we know where we stand?
