Veils/head coverings; do women just read the bits they want?

Question

Like it states they should cover their head; so why don't they do it?

It says: 'every woman who prays or prophesises with her head uncovered dishonours her head'? Do women just read the bits that say men must submit?

First let me start by saying I do cover my head for prayer and usually at all times as I try to pray constantly. Now Corinthians was written as a letter to the Church in Corinth. It was because many of these women had their heads shaved as pagan priestesses. Those that converted were to cover their heads as a show of submission and being under authority of their husbands. There is also the verse "Judge for yourself.."
