They are not fighting "God". Come on, now, this is really one of the weakest arguments I've yet heard. They are fighting the memes that have infected your brains because those memes end up influencing your behavior and affecting those that don't believe what you believe.

Your proof -

Atheists are fighting the ill effects of religion
If they fight religion, they fight God.
Therefore God exists.

If you can't see the problem with that, there's little hope anyone can make you see it.

Atheists are of many kinds:-

1. Thorough gentlemen, and seekers of truth who want to see God in physical form

2. Rascals who do all immoral things and say there is no such thing as God to punish them.

3. People who wanted God to provide them every thing they wanted without their own efforts and when they naturally fail
become non believers and start abusing and fighting.

I don't really like to involve myself in religious questions...
But I seriously dislike being referred to as an 'enemy'.

I don't go round preaching messages of anti-Christianity, I don't go from door to door invading peoples privacy and trying to 'save their souls', I don't hate gays, I don't cross the road when I see people wearing metal t-shirts in-case they are in league with Satan.

Hell, I am just an ordinary person, who lives an ordinary life, I don't tell people what to believe, as long as they don't try and preach to me...

I don't judge people because of their sexuality - and most of all, I try and be a good person, because I think it is right - not because I am afraid of the wrath of God and hell fire.

I know that not all Christians are like this, but for some reason, America seems to have bred the worst kind, ignorant yet opinionated... worry about your own souls first, not the rest of us...
