interesting possibility but then that means all this happened before. The important question here will be, when was the last time you lived the same life? Was it on thsi same planet? If we return here agian and again, where did all the history come from? Does that mean there is no future? Are we stagnant in time?
I tend to disagree with you. I belive taht all of us a re manifestations of energy. At death we return to the pure energy form we started off with. The path to return to the total energy could be different. And what form the energy will take is not decided. You may take a form of energy that we refer to as spirits.
Deja vu could also be explained by this concept. If everything is some form of manifestation of the total energy. The future also become a manifestation of this same energy. Thus it is possible for the present form of energy to get a glimpse of the future form while it is in the process of changing form.
what say?

I think we have all spend a little time on this subject in our minds or in discussion at a party. I myself have thought about this considerably and have reached one answer to the question that your asked. "There is no answer". Therefore the question you just asked is in fact not a question at all because there is no answer.
For the question to be answered in the way you would like one thing would have to be undertaken, and that would be death.
It is a state of mind that has been forced down our throats since man has put ink on paper, the illusion of "Belief". Belief in anything other than what you have said, seen and done is all superfluous to your life. If you first believe that god exists then I'm afraid you have already been mislead and then everything you do not understand or love or fear will be attributed to the belief system you have been taught by your parents and society, as were they and the ones before them.
The one fact that I can say is true is there is nothing that is in a living body that isn't still present in a dead body apart from one thing electricity, and if this is the essence of life then the death you speak of can only be the same as when you flick the switch to your bedroom light before you go to sleep.
So to rephrase your question "What happens to the light when you turn it off?" is much easier to answer.........it goes out.
It is through fear of death that makes people resort to religious crap. These are the "geniuses" that believe that dinosaurs never existed so please follow everything they say with a soothing, cleaning, refreshing bath.

Whats the purpose of living and dieing so many times?? does this make sense?? and for the sake of argument if we agree that we live and die 10 times over, then dont u remember anything from the past life to make this world a better place?? If this were so there would be no sinners in this world!! (U can communicate with me on email if u still dont get my point) my email is leo_7_2001@yahoo.com

No, sorry. Deja vu can be explained by the brain's subconscious perception of what the eye sees a second before the full image becomes available to your consciousness.
I am looking forward to the apres vie though :-)

As silly as reincarnation may sound, their are people that have had memories of past lifes without any knowledge of the person. Also, i had a friend who died (brought back via defibbulator) and said that he saw a bunch of cool looking people that were sitting on velvet couches smoking, so i believe that the afterlife is whatever you subconciously want it to be when you die.

i don't believe that we live over again especially not the same life as that doesn't sound practical
i do believe that we continue to live in spirit , continuing our learning
de ja vous can be explained with a few theories .. since we are all psychic it may just be a little glimpse into our own life and when we get that de ja vous .. it may simply be we remember seeing it somewhere before
