You are right, how can one pray to themselves & get results, you cannot, Jesus is not the Almighty God, this is a Son talking to his Father, and besides Jesus said this: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’

There is no such thing as the Trinity,

“Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36) How do these words confirm that Jesus is not Almighty God?

Jesus says that the Father knows more than the Son does. If Jesus were part of Almighty God, however, he would know the same facts as his Father. So, then, the Son and the Father cannot be equal. Yet, some will say: ‘Jesus had two natures. Here he speaks as a man.’ But even if that were so, what about the holy spirit? If it is part of the same God as the Father, why does Jesus not say that it knows what the Father knows?

1st of all Jesus said: He pointed to God as the Source of his life, saying, “I live because of the Father.” According to the context, this meant that his life resulted from or was caused by his Father, even as the gaining of life by dying men would result from their faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice.—Joh 6:56, 57.

Jesus’ being called the “only-begotten Son” (Joh 1:14; 3:16, 18) does not mean that the other spirit creatures produced were not God’s sons, for they are called sons as well. (Ge 6:2, 4; Job 1:6) However, by virtue of his being the sole direct creation of his Father, the firstborn Son was unique, different from all others of God’s sons, all of whom were created or begotten by Jehovah through that firstborn Son. So “the Word” was Jehovah’s “only-begotten Son” in a particular sense,

Jesus is also “Mighty God” and “Eternal Father.” This does not mean that he usurps the authority and position of Jehovah, who is “God our Father.” (2 Corinthians 1:2) “He [Jesus] . . . gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.” (Philippians 2:6) He is called Mighty God, not Almighty God. Jesus never thought of himself as God Almighty, for he spoke of his Father as “the only true God,” that is, the only God who should be worshiped. (John 17:3;

Rev. 1:1; 3:14, RS: “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, why did God have to give the revelation to Jesus, if he is God? .

Does the Bible teach that none of those who are said to be included in the Trinity is greater or less than another, that all are equal, that all are almighty? Mark 13:32, RS: “Of that day or that hour no ones knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Of course, that would not be the case if Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were coequal, comprising one Godhead. And if, as some suggest, the Son was limited by his human nature from knowing, the question remains, Why did the Holy Spirit not know?)

John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

1 Cor. 11:3, RS: “I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.” (Clearly, then, Christ is not God, and God is of superior rank to Christ. It should be noted that this was written about 55 C.E., some 22 years after Jesus returned to heaven.

A person who is really seeking to know the truth about God is not going to search the Bible hoping to find a text that he can construe as fitting what he already believes. He wants to know what God’s Word itself says. He may find some texts that he feels can be read in more than one way, but when these are compared with other Biblical statements on the same subject their meaning will become clear. It should be noted at the outset that most of the texts used as “proof” of the Trinity actually mention only two persons, not three; so even if the Trinitarian explanation of the texts were correct, these would not prove that the Bible teaches the Trinity.

There is an explanation. Although hardened souls do nothing but scoff, He also said on the cross, Bless them father, for they know not what they do. He also said, Father, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?
Jesus was the Word of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God.
There was another that was there in the beginning also. That was the Holy spirit. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are part of God too. No man has seen the face of God. If God spoke to you directly, your heart would literally explode. One blast of His nostril would cause the waters of the world to part. He appeared to Moses as a burning bush, He appeared to Adam and Eve as His Word walking through the Garden. God Is the Ultimate Energy, our life source. Father of us all. The only way to communicate with God is through His word, Jesus. While Jesus was half human, He felt pain as we do. But He was naturally the son of God, otherwise, what prophet have you ever heard of, before or since Jesus, that arose after the third day, as He said? He is the way, the truth, and the light. No man can come to the father, but by Him.

Whenever in the history of Bible, Humanity needed sacrification that was Jesus who did so. It is beleived that the lamb came before Prophet Ibrahim was Jesus himself to save Prophet ISSAC. Moses hit the stone and water came out to save the Israel. That stone is also belived as Jesus. Jesus is the appearnace of GOD the Father which was present at all the times and will be forever.
Coming to the question, Jesus form of GOD was a complete man and complete GOD at the same moment. He was the only personality ever existed in universe having both the qualities at thier peek at the same moment.
When Jesus prayed, He was fulfilling the role of a man. When Jesus ordered the winds and storms to calm down that was GOD part of him. When He made miracles, ordered the dead ones to rise again that was the GOD part of him, When He walked on the waters, That was the GOD part of him.
All the things he did as a MAN is to teach us and to give us a lesson and pattern that look I am a MAN and doing this, You people can also do.
Yes, You can say that Jesus prayed for himself but only to give us an example and prove himself that HE was a complete MAN as well at that time.
He could not have been died but this also He did to prove his personality that HE is a MAN and GOD at the same moment. By dieing HE proved the role of MAN and By rising again on the third Day HE proved that HE is GOD as well.
May GOD bless you and give you the wisdom to understand.

A changed e book by utilising the rascals on earth which replaced into sent by utilising Almigthy (i'm no longer referring God because of the fact its opposite gender is Goddess and we've faith there is not any Goddess) nicely-referred to as Bible. Almighty is a "very maximum suitable skill" no longer any physique Almighty created us that doesnt advise we are son and daughter of God. that's proved in above strains concerning gender (Nauzubillah) I thoroughly have faith in ISA-Alaihisalaam (nicely nicely-referred to as Jesus for christians) and his words yet no longer in what's written in Bible. wade with the aid of Quran -the e book which replaced into sent by utilising God and not at all have been given replaced (no old testamont no New testamont) its unique in its sort which tells that jesus will return back and that i dont be conscious of the place such fake believer christians will conceal thier faces Jesus isn't the son of God he's a messanger of God and that i've got faith in Jesus and his words written in Quran.
