In my theological studies, I came to the possible realiztion that they function in a similar manner. As religion changes and develops, each new religion claims to be the genuine article and challenging it is difficult.

The same goes with current scientific knowledge> If a theory is widly held as correct, it is nearly impossible to have new ideas accepted.

Are they all dogmatists? How are they the same? How are they different?

("The community of believers were of one heart and one mind. None of them ever claimed anything as his own; rather, everything was held in common." - Acts 4:32)

For those who understand comunism, this is UNDENIABLY a communistic statement.

Would Jesus support the community over the individual?

If God is the One who decides who gets everlasting life and who doesn't, would it not make sense then to get God's viewpoint on matters and not seek our own interpretation of His word? I see many saying that the Bible is left up to our own interpretation, wouldn't it seem reasonable to conclude that God's interpretation of His own word would be most important? If God is a being seperate from us with His own ideas and opinions, does it not make sense that He may not agree with us on everything that we may feel or think? Jesus said that his followers must worship with "spirit and truth" John 4:24 How many different variations of the truth can there be? How can truth contradict itself? I am writing this in response to those who say the Bible is left up to our own interpretation and that our religion does not matter.

Shouldn't it say right side? And for that matter, does Jesus have a butt to sit on if God doesn't have hands or is he just a spiritual form too??

'God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve'
Which dipstick made this up?
Seriously, where did this purposeless piece of propoganda come from? I want to right an angry letter.

This is worse than the 'If God wanted the metric system, he would have had ten apostles' quote from the 90's.

As many of the regulars know, I am an agnostic, and not trying to convert anyone,

So in the interest of creating a database of questions and answers, I am wondering if I could get answers to this question.

If an Atheist or an Agnostic is pro-life regarding abortion, they would not be wanting to push their religion on the rest of America. Therefore, is it really a harm to society that anyone who is religious has the same point of view?

Specifically would like the questions and answers to this question to be limited to the topic of abortion.

Thanks

Or would you forgive those people who did wrong?

( By the way, what they do wrong is: not to believe in someting that has no tangible proof. What a guilt !! )

Well, I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before this post gets removed (as this is also a shameless promotion) so let me get to the point.

I'm looking for volunteers to help out with an online Christian music ezine. The site is called The Kross (www.thekross.org). It's a place that brings all the aspects of Christian music into one spot, whether it's newer alternative or old gospel style hymns. Volunteers would help write reviews, conduct interviews, moderate forums, etc..

The site is fasioned off of another site I helped create called Crank It Up. Which during it's prime was pulling in 10,000 unique hits a month and was ranked in the top 5 on the major search engines. The staff spanned 4 countries with about 25 volunteers.

This is available to anyone who loves Christ and loves music. If you are interested, please get ahold of me: chris@thekross.org

ask questions directed at "theists" or "G-d believers" but then go off on Christianity? There are many more religions in the world then Christianity; you are in effect saying only Christians believe in the divine. Either ask your question specifically to Christians or ask more generic questions as we believe in very different things.
