I think I have a unique perspective on this one. I am agnostic, and rather than "go off" on Christians I would rather drive them deeper into their own faith. If more Christians acted like followers of Christ, there would be fewer complaints about them. I do agree that on here, too many spend their time trying to convert or offend someone. I think we should all make an effort at understanding, and examine our own beliefs before dragging the beliefs of others into question. Good question.

im not a atheists, but i belive as simple as this, if your relidgon speaks of loving and accepting god as ur personal savior, then why should it be a big deal. we as humans are not a like and have different views in life. an atheists could have a terrible fall and be in a comma and god could talk to them and change them if there hearts are willing. bottom line is religon has become a thing where ppl want to fight about instead of love the fact that there is a god no matter how we think he looks like, if u belive in HEAVEN OR HELL u belive in god, whether u think u do or not. thank uou and im praying fpr all lost or confussed souls. im not juding any1 but rember when god come back (which he is comming soon) who side will u stand on/ do not be fool there will be a war, more powerfull then the wars that u see 2 day. i will be fighting on the lord side will u come join?

I'm not an Athiest, but from what I understand, Christianity is one of the few religions that seems to have a problem with someone not believing in it's god.

Because Christianity... not Islam... is the most immediate and serious threat to the USA. Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.
Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”
They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.
Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.
All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."
By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

If the person is an atheists I am guessing they see no difference in any belief. It is all bunk to them. And christians are the majority and some have big mouths. Some have evangelical attitudes which is awesome also.

Ok this is more of a comment for the taking over the country plot that was seen above. Man's laws were originally founded on biblical laws from day one. Our country's forefathers wrote our constitutional laws from biblical laws. It has worked for some many years, until people started ranting about it being wrong. Just take a look at our country since 1962 when prayer was taken out of schools. We have seen our teens drop out, get pregnant, become drug addicts, crime has risen to extreme numbers, and our country has lost all sense of morals and family values that you speak of. I think it is about time to take a look at the facts folks. We need morals and family values to help mold our children and prevent them from causing total chaos in the world.

This fact right here tells me there must be something truthfull and powerful about Christianity. You never here atheist ranting about buddhism or scienctology or kabbalah. Why does Christianity cut right to the heart of nonbelievers?

Atheism does not have missions to feed the hungry.
Atheism does not have programs to give shelter to the homeless.
Atheism does not trouble itself to help the poor or give to the needy.
Atheism does not clothe the naked or visit the imprisoned.
Atheism does not give hope to the despairing, does not give love to the needy soul, or open arms to the broken-hearted.
Atheism does not seek to bring healing to any person.
Atheism does not intend to encourage the down-trodden.
Atheism seeks to tear down Love and stop its flow into the hearts of the un-loved.
During the 20th century, atheists (mostly communists, such as those who followed Stalin) slaughtered untold millions of Christians, Jews, and people of many other religions for the sake of their faith. This still goes on today in places like China.
Atheism seeks to destroy the hope of Jesus Christ and take love away from a world of people in need of care. In the name of science they proclaim, "there is no God", "we evolved from slime", "the cosmos is an accident". Declaring as gods the foundations and fate of the universe, they ignore the needs of the hearts of men to know that there is a Divine Creator who loves them.
Because an atheist got God banned from public schools, our children must pass through metal detectors on their way into school where they score worse and worse on educational tests and morals are at an all-time low. They must remember each day the school massacres of the past few years and wonder... if... when... where... who... Does anyone stop to think that this downward trend started the year God was banned from schools?
Churches have missions to feed the hungry.
Christians help the poor and clothe the naked.
Bible-carrying evangelists visit the sick and imprisoned to bring redemption to those that are forgotten and thrown away.
Preachers minister the healing power of God to those who dare to have faith and forget that miracles are impossible.
The children of God travel the globe to give light to those in the dark, to show the love of Jesus living through themselves to the ones that He died for 2,000 years ago.
Jesus gives the world His hope of eternal salvation, His gospel of love, His healing for body and mind and heart.
It is the Christians, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who care for the world enough to take a chance on alienating themselves by sharing the hope of salvation with others.
By their fruits ye shall know them.
-Matthew 7:20
Taste and see that the LORD is good.
-Psalm 34:8
The Lord is... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
-2 Peter 3:9
(This means atheists, too! God still will accept you and wants you to repent, and if you had been the only person on Earth, Jesus still would have died for you!)

The majority of the answers will be from christians. Not our fault.
And no, we won't be changing our questions just to make it more convenient for you.
Be smarter and the quesions will make more sense.
