Because even Black Sabbath--despite it's name--if you listen to the lyrics were not evil at all! they were tame!
I admit more recent thrasher bands indeed have Satanic lyrics.
.....But you don't hear about them like you did the rock bands of the past that were constantly accused of being evil and satanic when they really weren't!

AC/DC was really known for its lyrics Highway to Hell but the reason they thought these bands were bad back then was because Tipper Gore thought that by saying these were satanic that kids would stop listing when in fact most of the lyrics werent really an issuse she just didnt like it for herself so why not make a big todo about nothing the bands you should really look at like Zepplin do talk more about satanic things in songs that most people just think is a song Stairway to Heaven for instants talks about a gathering of witches and satan leading people down the wrong path (good question)

Pantera, Black Sabbath, Megadeath, AC/DC....all these were viewed as satanic because they were misconstrued. It's very easy to distinguish satanic lyrics from a "gimmick" artist. When somone like Marilyn Manson is called the "antichrist" and just plays up to the role, it's a gimmick people, he's looking for attention and money.

Believe it or not, Christians where in a tizzy about Hotel California by the Eagles, when that album came out. Devil Worshipers!
The Eagles profited greatly from all the free publicity.
And more kids listened to the lyrics because of it.

If you listen to some of the Black Sabbath songs played backwards, you might listen to some Satanic messages which are hidden in each and every song that you might hear! You got to try it out for yourself and see what I mean by it! It's very interesting and so very interesting indeed.

It depends on how deep you want to go here. Some Christians think all rock music is from the Devil.
But these bands come to mind:

Black Sabbath
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin (I think this one is true)

Most of these newer bands are just posers, throwing around Devlish lyrics for affect and to sell records.
Crapola!

Anything that is not of the Lord, or is rebellious to Him, is not of Him. He says you cannot serve 2 masters. You serve Him or you serve Satan. Period. If the lyrics to songs (any songs) encourage sin, or ungodly things, they are essentially Satanic. (some are more veiled.)

None were satanic, all 'evil' rock bands are just artists with make-up and a gimmick.
