Being intelligent? You don't have to be in a religion to believe in God, or to try to live a good life. In fact, with today's religions, I think you actually follow God better on your own rather than getting into a religion

You said that you do not agree to the writtings in the Holy Book and also what is preached by others. Then how can you accept suggestions from others? You have to take your own decision in this regard. What you believe yourself, teach that to your childeren. The only suggestion is read the Holy Book of different religion and try to analyze with your common intelligence.

Sure. Lots of things. There's dozens and dozens of religions. If none of those fit, you might be generally spiritual. Or perhaps agnostic, if you believe there is a god, but that we will probably never know god's true nature or be able to prove it.
What should you tell your children to follow? Their hearts. Let them decide for themselves. If you currently attend religious functions of some sort, bring them along, but give them books to read, and teachings on all faiths. They'll figure out what they believe, themselves, eventually.

There is. Be like most of the humanity. We belive in God but are not practicing it to the fullest. we celebrate major festivals but not small meaginful ones. We go about our life .
We are not Fanatics either , waging Jihad on anyone. We are happy & so is our God in Heaven.
Teach your children that God does exist but it is our duty to do what is True, Honest & right. God would take care of us by saving au from seen / unseen or known/ unknown misfortune / calamity if we walk the narrow path of of Truthfullness. Our present actions would predict our future/

I'm agnostic. I don't NOT believe in God, but I don't have the proof so I have a hard time believing. I'm open to learning, but I don't follow anything right now.

"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." The Bible is irrefutible. In it you and your children will learn who the loving God of all creation is...a loving, caring, forgiving, righteous God full of mercy and grace to those who will but receive. You can not learn if you will not read. Don't fence sit...you know...hang out in the middle and don't commit to one side or the other. God's Word is pretty clear...it's one or the other...and it's YOUR choice...you're either in or your out...heaven or hell...there is no middle ground. "Choose this day who you will serve...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

I think you'd simply be an independent theist.
And let your children follow whichever religion they feel like, but at least inform them about a few different ones. (Don't let the media do that for you.)

The Bible says train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he won't depart from it. I take the side of Jesus.
