There is either a 'ghost' or one heck of a lot of strange coincidences in our house. I'm not sure if I really believe in ghosts or not, but keep an open mind.

We live in Spain and you have to turn on a gas bottle and light the boiler to have a shower (we're having work done on the house and apparently a lot of spooky things happen during building work, I've heard). The boiler is upstairs and has mysteriously been switched off three or four times now.
On one of these occasions, my dad was having a shower (at about 11pm) and I couldn't sleep, so went downstairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water. When I got back to my room, I discovered a book about tarot cards sitting UPRIGHT in the middle of the floor (it was my book, by the way!! Didn't just materialize!!) This book had been safely stored away in a drawer because I'm never going to get around to learning the tarot. Strange... The next morning, my mother thanked me for putting the boiler off (because my dad said he'd forgotten, went back through to do it, but someone (or something) had beaten him to it.)
Other things - the living room door opens for my mum sometimes which is pretty funny. We've checked for draughts etc... but there is no logical explination as to why it should do this (and only when her hands are full!!)
I must say, if this is a ghost, he/she is pretty handy to have around. Just wonder what would happen if I left a pile of ironing overnight, hee hee!

I spent my childhood in a haunted House. No specters floating down the stairs, just...flashes of light where there couldn't be any. Sounds. Glimpses of movement out of the corner of your eye. Objects disappearing then reappearing in bizarre places...

Once when some friends were spending the night, one of them got pretty drunk and started mouthing off about family members. Suddenly an entire shelf of books swept out of their case and pelted him. He was always a very polite guest, after that.

And once when I came home from school I stripped off my clothes and threw them on the floor, went to be bathroom, came back to discover all my clothes had been picked up and neatly folded on my bed. There was no one else home at the time.

Stuff like that...

I dont believe in "haunted houses" like most refer to it.
But people that live in houses do leave something likened unto a fingerprint spiritually.

I remember living in a house in texas once and Becoming extremely depressed. I would cry and cry for no reason. I would tell my husband that it felt as if someone died....and I was grieving. No matter how hard I tried it wouldnt go away....I would hear a voice in the morning while I was asleep that woke me but never heard it any other time.

The day we were moving out a car crashed right infront of my drive way.....we ran to see if they were okay....as we talked with them they were fine but told us the story of our house....they said one year ago a little boy that lived in this house was killed in that very spot and that his mother grieved and grieved.

I feel I was sensitive to that "fingerprint" left in that house.

Lived in an apartment in Paris that was haunted. Not pleasant at all. Send me a message and I'll give details if you are interested.

My house is definitely haunted. The elderly couple who owned the house before us (they'd had it from new) both died there.

They're lovely friendly ghosts though. I think they're happy we're so contented in their home and I'm sure they love having children running around there again.

In our village in Ivory Coast the people there believed that we lived on the haunted hill. They were surprised that nothing bad had happened to us yet. They said to us that now when we came we scared all the ghosts away. It was funny that they actually believed that their were ghosts on our hill. I don't believe it at all. I am still alive and nothing strange has happened to me. Well, now I am not in Ivory Coast because I evacuated from there, but I don't believe at all in bad luck or ghosts.

I don’t think my house haunted. But the problem is each time the is guest in my house.. They will see and feel something eerie. Usually, each guest will overnight in my house once in the lifetime. It make me confuse and wondering.. why I can’t see what they see?

I went to live my gran after my grandad died, and she swore that she could see a faint grey image walking up the stairs and going into his old bedroom (the one I was sleeping in) while she led in bed at night. She convinced herself that it was him, bless her.
