It's a common mis interpretation that Jesus was really from Natereth...much like people think that just because he was called Lord or messiah that means he was the son of god..when infact People back in thoes days called anyone who was a king thoes things...from Solomon to King David.

Most pictures of Jesus are incorrect. He wasn't a skinny white guy with long hair. He was Jewish. He blended into crowds. There really wasn't anything special looking about him. He probabally had short hair black hair...that is my guess.
Jesus did not take the Nazarite vow as Samson did, but Jesus was called a Nazarene because he was from Nazareth.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem. His parents fled to Egypt with him. When Herod died (the king that tried to kill him in Bethlehem) they moved to Nazareth .
Matthew 2:19-23 (NKJV)
But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, [20] saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child's life are dead." [21] Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel. [22] But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. [23] And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, "He shall be called a Nazarene."
Hope that helps.

Are you questioning Jesus. Because if you are, I'll just reach right through this monitor and whoop your little @ss. How dare you say Jesus didn't have long hair and a beard! Of course he did. Are you mentally retarded because if you are I can excuse you. But I can't excuse you for being plain old stupid!

The vow required that they not cut their hair. This is what caused Sampson to lose his strength.
Why do you say Nazareth didn't exist? I've seen it on old maps.

The name "nazareth" and the term "nazarite" -- while they sound alike in english, are completely different in hebrew. (Like "here", "hair", and "hear".)
oh, and when matthew says that jesus was born in nazareth in accordance with the OT testament prophecy that the messiah would be --- um... where in the "OT" does it even mention nazareth? Answer: Nowhere.

It is a common conception that Jesus even existed. Of course there is no proof whatsoever.
