We all may have different beliefs, but why can't we just try to respect each other and be friends? I'm tired of people trying to force others into their religion and wars being caused by it. If we would all just learn to accept each other, wouldn't the world be a better place?

If it is true that God is a wrathful and chastening God, then the good and just have nothing to worry about. If God sees the world becoming too advanced, He can simply cause another great flood and destroy all the evil science-lovers. You God fearers will either be afloat on rafts created by science or be in the Heaven created by your religion....either way you're saved. So, why inhibit stem cell research? Why stop abortion? Why restrict medicinal marijuana? If God has a problem with our science procedures, I'm sure he will let us know one way or another, right?

If the Bible means nothing to some of you, then why answer questions concerning the Bible? I see answers like, "Your book means nothing to me," etc. etc. Then why bother? Is it because there's something deep down inside telling you, "Hey, God may be right!" Or are you just fishing for arguments like some of the rest?

I know it's been asked a million times but i've never heard or read a good answer. The people who believe in the Christian god are usually the ones who argue the hardest against something being able to come from nothing (a.k.a. big bang, etc). They claim everything has to be created. So I want a Christian to tell me where god came from.

I know some people will think that I'm only trying to start a fight. Those people are wrong. I just want to see what kind of answers I get. Hopefully there will be some good ones. :)

I'll be choosing my best answer on the basis of which answer is actually the best, in my opinion. Regardless of whether or not I agree with it.

If you're going to be insulting or rude, push the back button on your browser and find another question to answer.

1st, The Christian view: God is love, it's a gift given by God that words can not express, it's spiritual and a mystry, to place one above yourself and give a higher value too.

Athesit/Agnostic view: Love is a chemical reaction set off by neurons connected to to synapes thus creating a neuottansmitter in a very
paticulare sequence of synapses, a process that
has evolved over billions of years...merely by chance.

Ask yourself...could you look into the eyes of your child or anyone you "love" and say: My neurotransmitters are in a paticular sequence
that gives me the feelings of happiness as in regards you!

Which are you?

We are in a period of endless wars, world division, unprecidented storms and earthquakes, open acceptance of all kinds of evil. I believe that what we are experiencing now will not be fixed by electing the right politicians nor by getting rid of or supporting the right "regime".
I believe that these times are our last call to (individually) get right with Christ, and, as Christ's Church, to support one another (Hebrews 10:25). It is so obvious that none will be without excuse when the day of Judgement comes.

What do you think?

how can god set these rules and regulations on humans, when he has no idea what it is to be human, yes i know that he was in human form as jesus, but that is not the same, he knew who he was and what was to be done and the little fact that he is god....to all of us regular folk, it is not cool. he has no idea what it is to be human and be faced with our problems and all our drama and he doesnt know what stress is. so we have alot of factors that screw us over, its kind of hypocritical.

Every evening at 8 this fish gets into a makeshift bed under a bushy plant, closes it's eyes and rolls onto it's side. One can tell he is snoring away by watching the bubbles coming from his nostrils. The 1st time it happened i was alarmed. However, the fish wakes at 6 in the mornings - in a very fowl mood - takes a bite out of anything in sight and then calms down.. until evening comes
Could this be some kind of possesions or re-incarnation?what does it mean?

Doesn't that mean you are free?

"It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27)

Is this not the message of the cross? It was the Son of God who died in our place, for our sins (Romans 3:23, 2 Cor. 5:21), demonstrating the love of God toward you, and how much you are worth to Him. Believe and receive His freedom and love through Jesus Christ.

Not everyone will, but anyone can. Today is the day of salvation. Will you? Have you?
