For the most part good answers so far. I see them having a less positive effect on society because their false doctrine tells them that everything is going to get worse no matter what they do.

No one can say for sure if we are living in the last days, even Christians. Why are you looking for negative characteristics? Do you just want to find a way to make fun of Christians? Can't you agree to disagree? Where do you people get your facts from?

- who says Christians don't address social problems?- that is way off!
- "They don't get themselves educated since Jesus can come anytime."- so you think all Christians are uneducated?
- "They support anything that will destroy the earth in order to hasten the return of Jesus."- what crap is this!?! You actually think Christians support the destruction of the world? I've never met any that do.
The problem with people here who bash Christians, such as ldyrhiannon, is they base their comments/opinions on a small group of Christians who are misrepresenting the true ones. In my church we are told not to "preach" to people- don't get in their faces, as ldyrhiannon says Christians do. I have never "preached" to someone just because they looked at me. You are doing the same thing racists do- generalize an entire group of people based on a select few.

1. They don't get themselves educated since Jesus can come anytime.
2. They support anything that will destroy the earth in order to hasten the return of Jesus.
3. If they are in political office and have the finger on the nuclear trigger, they can push it to start Armageddon and so bring back Jesus.

YOU CAN'T PREDICT IT, YOU CAN'T PROPHESIZE IT, IT WILL HAPPEN WHEN GOD WANTS IT TO, AND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PROPHESIZING SINCE TIME BEGAN. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! How about over zealous fundamentalism? That is the most obtrusive, offensive and just plain annoying characteristic of them. They will preach to you if you even look at them.

My aunt gave me, my mom, and my brother a DVD for "those who knew not Jesus", in case she gets raptured soon, recently. My brother and I don't believe; we decided that what bothered us was her arrogance in deciding that she was better than us.
I also think all this end-times stuff is a great big cosmic "I told you so!"
