Who wrote the bible? Not the words inside, but the person or persons who took pen to paper. Or is it believed it was sent down from heaven and some guy stumbled upon it?

Aslo would it be possible that whoever it is put his or her own thoughts/feelings/opinions into it.

Dont give me a link to the question asked once before, mine is slightly different, I wont look at or nor will you recive the best answer.

collected two of every species on the planet, fed them, kept all of them alive, and re-distributed them in their original environments post-flood?

And how exactly did this Noah character get the Ark up the Amazon, and through the great lakes?

And none of this "the continents hadn't formed yet" bullshit.

The Bible degrades the Prophets of God by vilification:

For a Muslim, many of the claims to be found in the Bible with regard to the prophets of God, and even God himself, are monstrous and preposterous. One is hard pressed to find a single prophet or messenger who was not a drunkard, an idolater, an adulterer, guilty of incest, a liar, and so forth. The Bible practically overflows with such stories from almost every Tom, Dick, and Harry. The messengers of God are even made to be guilty of multiple cases of adultery and worse. Abraham (pbuh) is alleged to be a liar and worse (Genesis 12:13). Noah (pbuh) a drunkard (Genesis 9:21). Lot (pbuh) a drunkard and guilty of incest (Genesis 19:30-38). Solomon (pbuh) a worshipper of idols in his old age (1 Kings 4-9), King David (pbuh) commits adultery with Uriah's wife and then murdered her husband (2 Samuel 11:3-4,15-18), David's son Ammon is guilty of incest and the rape of his half sister (2 Samuel 13:14). Aaron (pbuh) fashions an idol (the golden calf) for the Jews to worship (Exodus 32:1-4), to name but a very few of the many allegations to be found in the current Bible. Strangely, Christians defend the false portrayal of God and His prophets, yet have the audacity to charge the Prophet Muhammad with falsehood!

A couple of questions for you peeps:

1. Why is it that most of you feel that people should be spiritually stagnant? And when Christians try to spread good word, why do you feel like you are being "forced" into believing somthing you don't want to? Why do you use lexicon "forced" anyway? Are pagans a bunch of spiritual wimps?

2. Why do you use the "it's not very Christian-like" argument? We are all humans and are prone to failure. Are you really that short-sighted?? For that matter why don't you try to adhere to the 10 commandments? What's so bad about them?

3. Why do you distort biblical verses that you don't even know how to properly interpret to begin with??

Only answer the questions that apply to you, that is, if you believe in your answers. I would surely hope you can believe in something minimal as that! Consult your Ouija board or whatever. I am not trying to be converted and I am not trying to convert.

"Is my mind "open" to other religions being valid? No. Because if the way to heaven were through anything other than Jesus Christ, why did He die on the cross? And the bible would be a lie, which I do not believe that it is.

That being said, I also believe that others should have the freedom to choose what they believe. But if someone would ask me, do you think there is any other way of "salvation" except through the biblical Jesus Christ, I would say no." (Christian_lady)

"If humans came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"

or

"If humans come from Adam and Eve, why are there different skin colours?"

Both of them have become 'memes' on Y!A, and one is a silly misunderstanding of evolution, the other a silly misunderstanding of both creationism and evolution. So which one is funnier?

Humans would have lived forever, right? I mean, I know the tree of knowledge and the tree of life were different, but God's punishment was to send them out of Eden without having the opportunity to eat from the tree of life, wasn't it? I remember being told that the fact that we are mortal is God's punishment for Adam and Eve's sins...

Yet this life is a test and the 'real' life is the one that awaits us after we die, when we can live together in peace with our Creator in happiness.

If Adam and Eve had been able to eat from the tree of life, wouldn't we have all been denied that reward?

So did Adam and Eve even sin? Or should we thank them for giving us the opportunity to enter the Kingdom of Heaven?

Assume that I am a Christian. My beliefs are very strong, but based only on faith and the Holy Bible.
Evolution is a myth. "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so." (Genesis 1:24)
Homosexuality is a sin. "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with woman kind: it is abomination." (Leviticus 18:22)
Nothing you can say will change my mind, so why bother?

I just answered a question regarding this topic and it just makes me think about all the not so good looking guys out there who have not been so nice and hve been really arrogant to the core. Guys with pot bellies who tell their girfriend that if she ever got a pot belly he would probably cheat on her.

So don't knock the sexy hot men out their that can sometimes be somewhat arrogant. So what. Get to know someone and see who they are on the inside.

My man is hot and although we argue occasionally he treats me like gold and would do anything for me.

Hey look. If a man can shoose visually then so can a woman . I need what turns me on sexually. What is so wrong with that. I bet men get what I'm saying.
