Where is Islam in our public schools except that its the faith of some children attending?
Which followers of which religion are trying to change our laws to suit their belief system? When they sit down and shut up and keep their beliefs in their homes and churches instead of trying to change laws to suit their purposes, then you won't hear any conflict between 'christians' and those who prefer to live by the laws of the Constitution instead.

If you will examine the world around you will find that what the fight is not against Christianity.. though if you are a christian it might seem that way.. it is true that many different churches go at each other about which one is right and which one is wrong and on and on.. it seems a fight within Christianity.. but as far as the persecution of other religions goes.. no one has been better at that than Christians.. and i think that may have a lot to do with it.. Christianity is the only religion on earth.. that condemns all others as sinners.. on a larger historical view Islam is a biblical religion.. therefore shares the same psychosocial drivers as Christianity.. dogmatic and fanatical is the tendency.. American society is dominantly christian.. this is a christian nation... i think other religions will get there turn when the majority of America stops thinking of any other religion as a cult of unbelieving lost souls.. stops idolizing an idea of a god that exist outside of the human heart soul and mind of every individual on the planet and embrace love above all condemnation and judgment

One Islam isn't in the public schools
Two, Christianity is the major religion of the US, of course each time something comes to religion, it;s going to be the first one referred to
Three, truthfully, no religion should play even a small part in our government, not Christianity or any other religion, it's supposed to be based on politics, not morals
And last but not least, Christianity always takes such a big hit all the time is because it was the first religion, all the other religions we know about and heard of have been loosely based on this religion, so in a way it is the mother of all religions, so of course it holds the attention of the masses

I think that everyone should leave everyone's religions alone. And I am not speaking from an angry point of view. There is so much crap about religion, and there doesn't have to be. Everyone should be allowed to believe what they chose to believe, and at the same time, not cram their beliefs down each other's throats. Perhaps the reason the fight is about christianity is because that is the most widely accepted religion, as far as politics is concerned, and therefore the biggest, and best, target. Believe, and let believe.

Basically it is because it is the main religion in this country and the others don't seem to push it. Those who's ways are that their religion/beliefs is a private and sacred thing generally have no problem with school as they know they can pray quietly to themselves any time they feel the need. It is those that think it HAS to be a group thing that causes problems...
P.S. No, I am a non believer and feel that all people can believe what they wish, just no one should be allowed to dominate or push it.

I don't think it's fair that everyone harps on christianity. It's not fair that an atheist man can make a request for "one nation under God" to be taken out of the pledge of allegience. I don't think it's fair that they want the 10 commandments to be taken out of public places. But if we try to take Islam out of schools, we're just as bad as them. This year in my school, religon was a big debate. Groups of people pitted against each other over religon. There are two major religons in my school. Wicca and Christianity. The same people who were defending christianity are the same people who go out, get drunk and party every weekend. The Wiccans...well...they were big trouble makers. I think that if we supress one religon, we should supress them all. Why single out just one religon. That defies the first amendment. If you want one religon out of public veiw, take them all out. If you can't do that, leave religon alone.

My theory is that the resistence against Christianity exists because it is the only "religion" that makes logical sense. Atheists feel threatened by it. What makes more sense; the man who believes in a God that he cannot see, or the man who is offended by a God that he does not believe in?

i don't think schools should have ANY religion in them, i don't care which religion it is, christianity, muslim, whatever. unless of course it's a private school, then they can do what they want.
