I am writing a birthday card to a friend (kind of), and I need help with some ideas for the imagery I could use. He and I have been friends for about 6 months, and we both feel like God is pushing us o date one another, although we are both in circumstances where we feel we should wait before dating someone. (We're both completely single, before you start wondering) Anyhow, he and I both enjoy poetic imagery, and I was going to liken our friendship to that of a seedling planted by God. Something along the lines of not wanting to rush the tree, because it needs to grow first, and not knowing how high the tree will grow in the end, because only god can know that.

Besides being a bit sappy (no pun intended), do you think it translates? Can you think of a better image that would suit the friendship I described? I really appreciate your input.

I need it to mean the same thing as below but in fewer words (to fit on a bracelet). I want to focus on the faith and mustard seed part. thanks.

That Islam is a tolerant peaceful religion? I know that the actions of a few extremists do not speak for everyone, but all I see lately is the actions of Islamic extremists... please someone tell me that there are still some sane Muslims out there somewhere. If you are a Muslim tell me how this story makes you feel. Can there be any real justification for these actions?

i heard people r complaining that people in the church aren't friendly enough, or good enough etc...

seriously, do people really "intentionally" hurt our feelings in Church? If there is no bad intention then no problem right? it will be endless to wait for others to build our happiness. we should build our own - create situations and be the bigger person.

again, this is not about me. just wondering why ppl are having this problem.

it is easy to find contradictions in every religion. it is easy to see atheists as evil. my challenge is to be true christians. true muslims. true jews. true humanists. i challenge everyone to find something positive in a religion other than one's own. i will even start.
