sometimes external things effect our dreams. the very real noise of an alarm clock may become a buzzing saw, a game show sound effect, a large attacking bug, whatever. It is my belief that there are times when sleeping closely with someone and at the same stage of sleep it can happen that one persons sleep talk may incorporate and influence the others dreams. I don't know that this is the case and I'm certainly not discrediting the dreamscaping theory. This is just one possibility.

I think in theory it could hgappen, but it would be extremely difficult in practice. I thnik there has been some success in lab experiments- but it is difficult to assess if the dreams were truly linked- it is an interesting phenomena though, and I would love to find a dream partner to try this out with!
