RELIGION is the everyone's perception and acceptance of a DOGMA or axiom.
There are about 6 billion people on this planet..... so.....
approximately 6 billion religions.
Many of them them are in big groups because they have something in common. Like Christians... muslims..... Hebrews... buddists..... but even personally amongst each one of these members, they have intiferences (minor but intiferences).

Religion is dynamic.Each day new ones are created.There are however 21 major ones.The rest are not considered as major.These are the major 21 religions with the population.Hope this helps you out.

Shinto, Buddhism, Santeria, Wicca, Noe Pagan, Baha’I, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Daoism, Zoroastrianism, Native spirituality, Satanism, Voodooism, plus a lot of nature worship religions that are too many to count...ohh I forgot Scientology, and Catholicism

Too many. I agree. Religion's been the cause of so much fighting in the world because of one group believing they're right and everyone else is wrong.

Religions are categorised in two parts
God sent religions and man made religions.
God sent religions are Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
The rest is all man made. Simple

Pretty odd result, for a group that has no god-given guiding moral principals, huh?

about 4,600 official religions but i would say like the other guy said about 6 billion
