I can only give my experience and maybe you can benefit from it. I was in the midst of a terrible struggle and had exhausted all avenues for relief. I finally said, God you are in control (which he always was anyway), and it is up to you to act. I have done all I can.
Today, I write this letter , a free man. ENOUGH SAID!!!

I'm going to assume that you mean that you are giving a problem to God to handle so that you don't worry about it? Sometimes when I do this I find that I have started worrying about it again but I just make an effort to put it back at the foot of the cross and leave it there.

Most of the time I have not acted without permission from God. But I did when I lease my car about 6 years ago. I just did it and didn't commit it to prayer. That car has cost me 3 times over in accidents, vandalism and repairs even including needing a new engine 8 months after I bought it from the bank!

Give it to God!

Let go and let God...puts you in a space where anything can happen...a place of trust. I've found it to always end up for my good, never for my harm. Not an easy thing to do, though. The mind wants to cling to everything involved and you have to train it to let things go by. It wants to replay every ingredient over and over...Learning to let go and trust God to handle it or lead you is a discipline in gaining control of your thoughts and not letting them drag you all over the place. After you've done it a few times you feel confident to tell your racing mind to shut up and leave you alone! And lo and behold, there is peace! We are definitely our own worse enemies if you stop and think about it....(chuckle)

Yes, and yes. Both. You have to give up something in order to have something to give to God. And any time you trust in God it ends up positively. Some people just don't wait until the end of the story to find out.

personally i have a problem with giving up half way due to my past life choices not being so wise and me feeling kinda overwelmed and alone about what i have gotten myself into. but i always end up going back to god. it is definintly better with god on your side no matter what obsticals life puts you through. god is like the one friend you will ever have thats not going to turn his back on you. or leave when thing get rough. over all god is the best decision i have ever made in my life

To a Christian, ALL prayer is answered. If they get what they want, then God answered "yes." If they don't get what they want, then he answered "no," but either way, it's an answer. This is why it is not possible to test the efficacy of prayer--there must be clear ideas as to what constitutes success or failure, and Christians cannot provide that.

Is that saying even Biblical?

Some people don’t get past "square one" because they trust in their feelings rather than God. His promises are true, despite our feelings. If I make a promise to my wife, that promise is true whether she is feeling happy or sad. If she doubts my word, then she brings a slur to my integrity. Anyone who genuinely repents and trusts in Christ will be saved. The Bible makes this promise: "He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him" [John 14:21]. There’s the promise, and there’s the condition. Any person who loves and obeys Jesus will begin a supernatural relationship with Him and the Father. He said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3).

That doesn’t mean you will hear voices or see visions. God will instead make you a new person from within. He will send His Spirit to live within you. You will have a new heart with new desires. You will suddenly become conscious of God and His creation. The Bible will open up to you and become a living Word, and you will have an inner witness that you are saved, that your name is written in heaven, and that death has lost its sting (1 John 5:10–12).

It takes years. It's hard to rest in the promise that He has the best for us. I used to step in half way through. But now I'm finding myself waiting on Him more because He put it in my heart to do so.

For me when i let go, I seem to take it back because I think I can Do better myself. Of course Gods let's me know I need him/her and all seems to fail when I don't let God take charge!

yes when I finally get to that place (am stubborn and struggle with control) and let things go and let God handle all it works out for the best not necessarily what I wanted but always what's best for us
