In the case of an interfaith marriage, it's between the 2 adults. But the children are the religion of the mother, since most religions follow the matriarchal line.

The best religion to follow is the one which both people involved are most comfortable following... and it is possible to follow both, and have the kids turn out perfectly fine.
As an example, former bosses of mine (restaurant owners) were Jewish and Protestant Christian. Their daughter grew up celebrating Passover AND Easter, Hannauka AND Christmas, and learning the basics of BOTH religions. The husband and wife had enough respect for each other that they pernitted the other to be different and accepted them at face value. When the child is older, she will decide which, if either, lifestyle is right for her.

The one that the married partners agree to follow. This includes both of them following their own religions or one of them converting to the agreed one. This certainly needs to be discussed BEFORE getting married.
If there is no conversion to a single religion, the it may be good to teach the children parts of both religions, and let them make a decision at a more mature age (14, 15 years old?).

religion is a question of belief and not a proceeding thus you can always follow a religion after your marriage though it is seen quite often that the bride converts to the grooms religion but there is no law to force her to do so. forget marriage even if you are a hindu muslim cristian u can always convert to any other religion and vise a versa

Each should stick to their own religion(if allowed)
If not allowed the woman should do a fake conversion just to maintaine the legality of the marriage(Mulsim women are not allowed to marry none muslims, but muslim guys are allowed to amrry none muslim women)

I will say this as I have said many times, When Jesus Christ walked in this earth, how many religions did he call forth to preach the word of our heavenly father as he gathered people from all the land? Do you know? There's your answer to the denomination to follow, A christian is what I am , and no more or less,For that is all I will be, I surely don't want to add one more sin t my millions for joining a man made religion, when God having said for us to beware of false doctrines... God bless and Hope I could help.

you should be wise and not mix religions in marriage. You should
marry someone with the same religious values and teachings as yourself. Otherwise you are just asking for trouble down the road, especially when children become a factor.

It is up to the two to come to an understanding. Usually Muslims want their spouses to convert to Islam.
