Jesus in one one of his rants claims to a crowd that some of them will still be alive when he returns (in Glory). Has anyone met a 2,000 year old contemporary of Jesus ? If not then wasn't he either A; wrong or B: a liar or C: a nut His apostles died in expectation - they believed he meant in thier lifetime by soon -

They think they found the Ark. Great. I am a Classics Major, and have participated in Archaeological digs. I appreciate any bit of history. Aha! Keyword there- history. Just because you found something that could be an ark does not prove God exists. I'm sorry. The bible was written by man, therefore is loaded with flaws and corruption. It is mans interpretation of what was supposed to be God's word. Therefore, it is WRITTEN HISTORY. Of course some of the stories hold truths, because they were written by men! Of course they will include something like a MASSIVE FLOOD. It still doesn't prove God exists. It could prove there was a massive flood(which we already know has happened on several occasions..melting of the ice caps, perhaps?) and "Noah" built it to stay safe. And, maybe Noah did exist. Do you know him personally? I don't. He could have been a raving lunatic listenign to voices in his head, or had seizures (remember your nice 'friend' Saul? I mean Paul? Those were seizures!)

I have a pendant resembling a wheel with what I gather to be the 8 symbols of Buddhism (one is a lotus, one is a fish I think).

This is why, i am athesit. I dont believe in all that crap, because it limits personal freedom, and if you think about it, none of it makes sense. Even if there is a god, hes a prick, for letting all this bad **** happen, if he is all mighty and powerful, then why doesnt he just make the world a utopia, and why even have us put on the planet? Why not just start us off in his so called "heaven?"

When I was a kid in high school it was a bright spring day. I was young, healthy and free; filled with the joy of just being alive. I spoke the words "Allah Akbar". I had no clue what that meant or where they came from, other than as a pure expression of joy. I wrote them down so I would remember and took a lot of time searching for what they meant. (This was way before the internet, and foreign language dictionaries are hard to come by in a small Kansas town.) Eventually I found the words are Arabic and mean "God is great."

You actually thought your money(10% of your income) was going to god. Would you feel soooo stupid? What if that's just the beginning. What if you discovered that God doesn't even exist after you have prayed twice a day for 50 years. That's a lot of waisted time.

I am an Athiest. That does not mean I am lost or lonley or depressed or sad or waiting to be saved. I have faith...in myself. I know love...I love myself, my family and my friends. I am truly happy without believeing in a God. Why is this so hard to understand? If you want to believe in God, please do whatever makes you happy. Believe in the Tooth Fairy if you want I don't care. Just please try to understand not everyone is the same. Not everyone wants to believe the way you do.


And to all of you who will say "you will go to hell" if you don't believe:

I have led a good life and if there is a God as you say and I stand before him in judgement and he sends me to hell just for not worshiping him, then I still will know I made the right decision. That is not a God I would want to worship.

Does your religion (please state what it is), have any restrictions on how women (specifically) decorate themselves? I.e.: shaven heads, uncovered heads, personal adornments, such as jewelry, types of clothing, etc.

As in, what's your religion's dress code for women?

I ask this out of personal curiosity, I'm studying other religions. I claim no religious affiliation.

Let's say you die and you feel yourself getting buried in the dirt. You're excited because you think you're about to meet Jesus. This is the moment you've been waiting for. You began to wonder what's taking so long. You wonder why you're still in your body. Months have passed and you still just lay their. You began to think about all those atheists that said god, the devil and the afterlife are fake. You began to think about your pastor and what he said will happen when you die. You began to think about all that money you gave to the church. 10 percent of every check for this? You began to feel deceived. Years have passed and you still just lay their in the dirt. You ask yourself. Could the atheists be right? You still can't accept that there's no god. So, you just wait for an angel to get you. A whole century has passed and you still just lay their. You began to look back at your life as being just on big lie for the rest of eternity.

I broke up with my girlfriend almost a year ago. I don't have a new girlfriend or any other friends for that matter. I go to AA meetings regularly, but haven't made any friends there that weren't also her friends.

I hate being so lonely all the time. A long weekend is coming and I dread being all alone for four days.

If god loves me, why does he want me to be so lonely?

How many Gods do Muslims worship? I asked this question to a few muslims on paltalk and the told me just one God. Everyone else is telling me they worship hundreds of Gods....the God they worship now is the moon God. I heard that is what the cresent moon symbol on their flag means.....their moon God. I am not trying to be judgmental or anything I am just curious about Islamic faith. Where does Jesus come into the picture? Do muslims believe he is the son of God....do they believe in the cross? Know of any good websites on these topics?

A person at my church had a type of cancer that was considered by doctors incurable Sickness while she was in the hopspitle we prayed for her and she didnt even no that we prayed for her e becuse she was in the hospitle and she came back like a month later and said that the doctors said that the cancer was gone
