What do u think about Islam/Muslims?

They are peaceful and nice people but have some not-so-good people in it who are ruining the images of them, just like all other religions have bad vegetables in the field..Not all of them are the same and should not be hated just because some of them aren't any good....

They demand their right to worship freely, yet at the same time deny others the same right. They allow others to convert to Islam but kill muslims who attempt to convert out of their faith. Look at what the muslims are doing in Africa today, how they are literally chopping people up with machetes that do not convert. Islam is a cancer upon humanity. If we don't exterminate them like rats, they will, within a few generations, convert most of us and exterminate whoever is left. This is a battle for humanity itself.

About Islam.

The prophet Mohammad began his mission in a political vein. he observed that his people were getting the worst of it because they would not present a united front. The political means failed because the various tribal leaders weren't about to give up any iota of their power, even for what Mohammed knew was their survival.

So he tried the only other path open to him for unifying his people, Faith. Being familiar with both the Jewish and the Christian Holy Books, he took from each those aspects he felt were best for HIS people and easiest for them to accept and follow. He added some of their own better customs and rituals (the most civilized), and put it all together, called it holy and set out to convert his world. Unfortunately, in too many cases, the leaders of his world weren't any happier with this approach than with the first. His followers took umbrage at their contumacy and gave them a choice; convert or die! Not too surprisingly, it worked.

There is nothing inherently evil about Islam OR its founder or its methods. It is, after all, pretty much what the followers of Jesus were doing during Mohammed's lifetime. That the results were both evil and good is what you get when you're dealing with human beings.

As for Muslims today: most are like everyone else. They are an admixture of nice and nasty, good and evil, generosity and selfishness, hate and love. After all, being Muslim doesn't change their humanity, which IS fallen and dichotomized.

Their faith is heretical, their founder a decent man with a bright idea that got out of hand, the adherents of Islam an amalgam of all that is inherent in humanity, both good and bad.

I think of them as I think of ALL human beings. They are the beloved children of a loving Father Who created them to know Him, to serve Him, to love Him and be loved BY Him and to be with Him for all eternity.

I have dear friends in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine. They are Muslim. I am Catholic. I have dear friends who are Jews in Israel who are also friends of my Muslim friends. We all despise those of ANY faith who use that faith as an excuse for hatred and killing.

Islam is the very nature of man. It is the religion and the path chosen by Almighty Allah for mankind so that they may gain happiness in this life and Paradise in the next life. Islam is not a religion in the common and distorted sense, for it does not confine its scope to one's private life. It is a complete way of life and is present in every field of human existence. cant comment on all islams and muslim the ones ive met some were kind people, some were bitter hateful, and few were indifferent. sadly i had to interact with the bitter and hateful one majority of the time. destroying people in the name of allah is not something i see as holy personally but ill respect the religion not the radicals that ive ran into

i am sick and tired of answering this ques again and again.Muslims r people who r brain washed into thinking that thier religion is the greatest in this earth.Islam preaches terrorism in the name of jihad(holy war).women rt discriminated in Islam ,the animals r killed brutually(halal) a man is allowed 2 beat his wife in Islam.Mohamed married a 9yr old kid(was a child sexual abuser)killed thousands of non believers in Islam(murderer),he bore 11 children(was a sex maniac )2.The fact is that Mohamed came much later than christ and wrote a nice story bk called QURAN.

I don't know any personally, but I love meeting new people. And I don't think there isn anything wrong with their beliefs, they just aren't mine. I wish people wouldn't be so rude to Muslims.

the same thing i think about every other person on earth....everyone has the right to what they believe, feel, think, etc. and i don't want to judge any person till i meet them...in general, when it comes to people...i am happy when i learn about someone who has done good...sad for those who are hurt....mad for those who hurt others, but it doesn't matter where those people are from, who those people are, what they look like, what they believe, what they think....just the fact that they are people is all that matters

i met some who don't really practice thier religion who are cool but i don't go for religious types of any kind.

I agree with the guy above me but you have to understand exactly what we mean.

it is juz lk any other religion. they haf the stoopid-totally-inhibiting rules. they haf the same concept of worship god, do good and go to heaven or do bad and end in hell.and of course, it has its fair share of fanatics, religious psycho-paths. so ya it is juz another dumb religion.
