Holidays - November 2006

I have been invited last minute to a dinner party tonight and I will be the only vegetarian. There probably won't be anything there that I can eat and I don't want to come off as being rude for not eating what they prepared. Does anyone have any ideas for something that I can bring that we all can share?

Does anyone have any ideas for making a gothic Christmas? I have a black Christmas tree already. I need ideas for decorations. Even ideas on things I can make. Maybe you know of some website where I can buy skull ornaments? I'm putting red lights on my black christmas tree and I think I'm going to make a pentagram for the tree topper. Anything other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am thankful for friends, and that I am in my own warm apt. I have been homeless, and for 4yrs no one invited me to their home. I am also 57 and in good health.
I am thankful for YA, which keeps boredom at bay, and helps me meet people.

Hi to you all, it is wifeys birthday on boxing day and we always try to go out and do something, last year london eye, london zoo the year before and a river cruise the year before. We have access to car and are to the south of London. Please help with any ideas, however funny they may seem. We have two young kids (3 and 6) so they need to be amused too! HELP!!

Is this common for visitors to the States? Is this why so many nations don't have Thanksgiving?
