Even though your upset, don't make a big deal about it. People are funny around the holidays. For some strange reason, traditions are hard to break. If 12 noon and 1pm is the tradition in this family, then let your family have their tradition. It will cause too much of a "stir" for everyone to change things around. Also, are there going to be elderly people there??? Old people don't like to drive at night (hard to see) so they usually need events to start early so they can get on the road before dark. There are probably several reasons why they are sticking with the early dinner time so don't take it personally. Show up when you can, give every one a big hug, eat some left overs and be thankful you have a family to share the holiday with and also be thankful that you have a job. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Tomorrow is our vegetarian meal on account that that part of the family eats that method. We'll more often than not have the common potatoes and veggies however i am now not certain what the most important direction goes to be. Probably whatever known as wheat meat, which is made with flour and flavorings. It can be relatively just right with gravy. Then Saturday it is the usual turkey and fixings with the meat-consuming household.

that seems selfish of them! but there is nothing you can do about it...try not to let it ruin the holiday for you...i know it hurts when family does selfish things like this but try not to let it get you down and if you want...i will log on at 3:15pm and fix a plate and sit down and eat it in front of my computer and you do the same and then you wont be eating alone ...Happy Thanksgiving

If they won't wait, then theres not much you can do about it. I take it they will save dinner for you for when you come home from work?
Unless you can arrange to spend thanksgiving dinner with someone else who appreciates your company I guess you're stuck with it.
Why can't they have a later breakfast and later dinner??

Mine, too. I have to work until 3pm, and they all will eat around 1pm.
It's ok. I am not mad about it. or hurt. But they had better save me LOTS of dressing!

Wow..that is rude. I don't know what to say. Waiting a few hours is such a small sacrifice. Actually, it's not a sacrifice at all.
