You should put in the fridge right now and that is no guarantee that it would completely defrosted before Thanksgiving. I would put the turkey in water now, changing the water once it get cold, and then after it is thawed out by night go ahead and season WELL!!! Put the turkey back in the fridge completely covered. Take the turkey out of the refrigerator a few hours ahead so it would not go into the oven refrigerated it will take longer to cook.

I agree It's about 2 hrs for every pound in the fridge but in the sink with cold water a little less time but you have to remember to change the water at least once and the cookbooks says it's best the thaw in the fridge for two days.

Turkey expert on the television the other day said 1 day for every 4 pounds in the fridge (which is the best way). So three and a half days for you. Get it in the fridge now.

NEVER ty to thaw in warm water in the sink. That is VERY unsafe!

If you're going to thaw it in cold water, do it in the sink and change the water every 30 minutes.

If you have not yet put it in the fridge, it might be too late now. They need a few days.
