Hi. This sounds like a very nice thing to do, but it is a big job if this is your first time out doing a big holiday meal solo. Are there some relatives you could call for tips and support? Have you thought of buying some of your side dishes already made at the store? That would cut down on work. You need some help. I would write out my menu (stuffing, greenbeans, cranberry sauce, gravy, rolls etc). That will give you the things you want to make and then you can decide how to get them all done together.

you sound like a loving daughter...your mother is very proud i am sure...i agree with the lady who suggested buying some already cooked side dishes in the store this way you have extra time to concentrate on just having a good time with your mom...Happy Thanksgiving Baby doll

As a mom, I am telling you... anything you do is going to be perfect. Make whatever you know how to make, because the fact that you want to help your mom and make the day special for her is what will matter to her. Just tell her you love her, and tell her thanks for all the years she made it special for you. She'll love you for it. Moms are mushy like that.

Make some macaroni and cheese, get a box of stove top stuffing and some gravy. You'll be fine.
