Does anyone have any ideas for making a gothic Christmas? I have a black Christmas tree already. I need ideas for decorations. Even ideas on things I can make. Maybe you know of some website where I can buy skull ornaments? I'm putting red lights on my black christmas tree and I think I'm going to make a pentagram for the tree topper. Anything other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

wrap gifts in red paper and use black ribbon or bows or the other way around.
fix a red velvet cake :) and decorate the top of the cake with a spider web or something? if you could make the cake look like a face or some type of animal that'd be really cool. cause then it'd look like it's bleeding.
for halloween people use what cotton or something to make those spider webs in their rooms. you could do that. if you cant find it in stores you'll probably find it on ebay or some halloween site.
buy one of those huge plastic skeletons to hang on your door or where ever you like
if you can find some black lace for cheap.. use that. for anything.
like candles? get purple, red, and black ones.
what you might want: Gargoyles, stone or iron candleholders, grave markers, rosaries draped hither and yon, coffin-shaped boxes, ratty gauze or lace curtains, jagged lace scarves on dressers and tables, religious figurines, a coffin.
filigree and dradon items are also gothic.
try a halloween store, and hot topic.
buy a santa doll and make him a little black cape or something? or not

Here's what I did for my bedroom:
-Decorated a black Christmas tree with white and silver decorations like stars, snowflakes, crystals and black crystals
-Put blood red Christmas lights on my desk
-Put a skull with glowing glittery lights that reminded me of the glow of af Christmas light on a shelf
-Filled a Jack skellington mug with broken borbles and broken glass to give it that eerie feel
-Put a Santa hat on a skeleton
I also:
-asked my grandparents to use red wrapping paper and put black bows on it
-Play Gothic Christmas music in my room: try 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' soundtrack, 'Merry Cryptmas: Tales from the Crypt Christmas Album,' 'Nox Arcana: Winter's Knight,' 'Nox Arcana: Winter's Eve,' and 'Nox Arcana: Winter's Majesty.'
-If you're a girl, wear a blood red Christmas dress and a blood red cape.
-Watch Gothic Christmas movies: Edward Scissorhands; Nightmare Before Christmas; Black Christmas and Black Christmas remake; Batman Returns; Santa's Slay; A Christmas Carol; P2; Dead End

Get her a necklace with a bat on it, with a purple diamond in the middle. and a crucifix brooch. Thta's what my mate got me, yay! XD (even though im not a goth...) Or... Makeup. Stripy socks. Voodoo doll (I'm serious, they sell these where I live.) Have you heard of a shop called "Peccadillos"? It's in UK and they do all sorts, black trinket boxes with things on, stuff like that... Even though she might be gothic, doesn't mean you should get her something gothic (even though that's what you've asked). But I was thinking, maybe a snow globe, something "friendshippy", if you get what I mean. =D good luck!!!!!

I've read a lot of good ideas for you on this subject. I suggest making papier mache skulls and the like and painting them black or whatever colour you prefer. You can buy paperclay to mix at home from hobby shops and it's actually really easy to use!
Likewise you could get different fillings and use glass or plastic fillable ornaments. Imagine... an ornament filled with "blood" or spiders... instead of tinsel on your tree, try leftover "spider webbing" from halloween.
However, I would like to mention that a pentagram is not what you seem to think it might be. It's five points represent the five elements: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. I agree with another "answer-er" It's a spiritual item that's often misused by anti-christians, goths, kids who are trying to shock their parents and/or the world, etc. You seem a little too intelligent for that.

Oriental Trading company has a year round catalog on line for celebratory decorations. We have a sprayed gold tree made from the bare branches of weeds that grow by the river and decorate it with my witch ornament collection and other left over Halloween trinkets. You can make a string of skulls or head stones in the style of paper dolls. Little kids may not understand it, but it sounds interesting.

I'd go for the dark purple xmas tree light myself.
There should be skull ornament available:) Perhaps you can contact a taxidermist and get some small bird or rodent skulls that you can make into ornaments....

Might I say that being goth isn't always "ANTI-CHRIST" I know lots of gothic people who are into the satanic movement, and even if she is...its none of anyone's business.....I'm sure she's imply thinking of a different and creative way to celebrate christmas....that expresses her interests and way of life....but any ways....here are some websites...
