I went to a car dealership today (I want everyone to know who, Colonial Nissan in Philadelphia on Bustleton Ave) I was adiment about not making me come there for nothing but I can get passed that, here's what I can't stomach, I had to sit in a cubicle while waiting, listening to this conversation in the next cube. They obviously weren't Americans but didn't care as they went on to talk about " how they wouldn't marry an American nor would they allow a family member to marry American" but yet they are here in the United States, the dealer as well, working in the US and spending American currency. This is really sticking in my crawl and need to vent and will do so at every possible point. What would you do or have done in that situation?

Okay so recently i bought a whole bunch of new clothes and stuff and cut my hair. Whenever my family goes somewhere and we meet new friends and are just hangin out, my brother will say "You know, you would have never even dressed like that a while ago." for attention or to act like he knows something i dont really know why he says it. Or he will say "You used to dress like such a tomboy"
Its very annoying and ambarassing. I need something to say back to him that will embarass him so much he will never do it again.
I'm okay with language, gay jokes, anything. Please tell me any ideas you have!
Thanks! =)

My dad does it all the time even when there are plenty of other mugs to choose from, I find it really annoying. Is it reasonable to get irrate over this or am I over reacting?

I'm a guy. I don't understand why women wear leggings "as pants". I can understand a woman wearing leggings under a dress. But with just a small shirt or tube-top or halter-top? It makes no sense. For one, I can see the outline of their buttocks and their buttcracks due to the leggings' form-fitting nature. Not something I want to see. Even worse, I can see the outline of their cameltoe. I'm a gentleman, and I think a woman's "jewels" should only be seen by her lover during sex, but not by the rest of the general public.

My girlfriend just bought some pink leggings. I think they are too "revealing". She says it's not. She also just wears leggings as "pants". I took a picture of her in the pink leggings. She wears this to the gym, or when she's going out to shop. She either wears these leggings with a sports-bra or a tubetop.

Here's a picture of her in her leggings:

Yes, she wears it in public.

My fiance and I are looking into buying a condo. We are both 20 years old (Engaged, but taking our time!!). Together we have most of the furniture items that we will need (including beds, bedroom furniture, living room furniture and kitchen-ware such as silverware, pots, pans, plates, cups..etc... the only essentials that we are missing will be a couch!! and a kitchen table/chairs!! which we will get on our own.

My grandma said that once we move in, she wants to throw us a little house warming with family and some very close family friends (people we refer to as aunt and uncle, that sourta deal).. She said that in the invitations she'll list a few gift suggestions (bathroom towels, dish-towels, curtians) along with some details about our new home (colors etc...)

I hate asking people for gifts, and at the same time I know that this would help a lot!!

Is this rude though?? Do people usually bring gifts to a house warming??

how would you react and what would you do?

this happened to my friend last night, he felt the glass while it was in his mouth and cut his tongue a little and there was little blood, but overall no big deal. we were very professional and nice but i know that some other people could've easily flipped out and caused a big scene and possibly sued for 10 million.

we just told the waiter about it and the check was on the house......we still gave a good tip.

did we do the right thing or would you have done something different if you were in this situation?

thank you

When you're in the shower, do you leave the water running while you wash, or shut if off? Some say shutting it off saves water, others say it a time waster and you don't really save any water. If you're at a friend's or family's house, do you change your ways to meet theirs?

We have done nothing to these three young punks and one day we go to get in the car and they are in there lounge room with the curtain open looking at us laughing.
Then I see there is egg all over it, I challanged them all to a fight where upon they stoped laughing and shut the curtains.
As of now we move in March and Im thinking of coming back one night and pouring paint all over there two cars, and if they do it again before then I will get violent.
Unless some one here thinks I could handle it in a tad calmer way...?

A lot of people consider me a child. And okay, maybe I am. But even in just 12 years of life, I have observed one important thing: It's considered wrong to make our opinions and wants known. If you disagree with the other members of your workgroup, you are automatically ostracized. If there is something your doctor thinks is right but you want to object because you disagree or want another opinion, you're automatically wrong because you don't have the "authority" to comment on medicine that you're putting into your own body. I don't think it's right: if it affects you I think you should have a say. Do you think it's right for people to tell us what we can and can't voice?

Could she have showed greater appreciation?

today at work I've had to chauffer an elderly woman around the store in a wheelchair and she was a mean grump, she told me that I was moving way too fast and I was walking in regular speed, let me tell you I did not enjoy dealing with her and it took me 20 minutes just to chauffer her around, why couldn't her caregiver take her shopping is beyond me, plus my co-workers know what she is like and they do not like her at all and that she is not fun to deal with, plus she didn't even show much appreciation towards me when I was chauffering her around and she didn't act kind towards me when I was done chauffering her around, she was a mean short tempered grump, I was full of relief when I was done dealing with her.

It's really sad people show barely any or no appreciation towards the good things people do for them, work today wouldn't of been so bad if it wasn't for that woman.

I work in the medical field and bad work ethics can be seen in a big way. However, I have also worked in retail, restaurant, and other places I've noticed that poor work ethics is like a plague. It is not just by the youth, but some older people have it as well.

Don't people know that it reflects on business and can result in bad profits which can lead to no raises.
