I know I have not been on Yahoo for very long , but do you think you have a responsibility to answer some questions with a little thought. For instance do you think about why the questioner has asked a specific question.
I have just answered one in the last few minutes to a child who is probably very scared and some answers are so stupid and dangerous. Is this whole thing to be taken as a joke...is it just for points.....or should we really think carefully about our answers.....I would appreciate decent answers but then I suppose I can expect the worse...do your best.

I use to work in the city and I had many people who ask me for money on any given day. One time someone ask me if I would give him money to breakfast? I told him, come with me and I will by you Mcdonalds. He looks at me like I just slapped him! He told me no and walked away?? I guess I know what he was going to do with the money he ask for huh? Has this ever happened to you?

i was in math and student services came on the loud speaker thing and asked for Lexi (i'm the only Lexi in our grade) and said she needs to come to the office. i was freaking out. my heart was racing and i was thinking "what did i do wrong?". so i show up and they tell me to go to our assistant principal's office. he shuts the door and i am like "is everything okay?" and he mentioned that after 3 tardies you get a detention and he said that i have had a total of 6 this year. so he fills out the detention form and says to get my mom to sign it. she is already fed up with me and i am scared to tell her. how can i tell her? thanks!

The person keeps eye contact when they are listening to or asking about others, but when they decide to talk or open up about themselves, they blush and look downwards a lot.

What would you think about the person, about the behavior, etc?

The "dust in the wind" making it onto my sandwich I find to be a repulsive thought - am I alone? Also, I don't want to be mean to anyone just following directions - although I would of course be polite in asking that they cease.

Can't remember how often I've come to library on Fridays, but this seems abnormal_even if its normal! For the last half hour_and yes library will be closing at 6 pm, there have been herds of people coming in!!! It's just like ants when they find a piece of food!

Does this happen in your city or town?

I had a friend who stole $40 from me. I got angry, and said something like "I'll F around and get hardcore, C4 to your door no beef no more knucka!!" He thought this to be the worstest insult, but I was just mad and said it. Is it that bad? How would you interpret this?

An office of 4 people with most of the time only the two of us actually in the office. She just started. She wears tops that show a lot of breast, no nipple but you can't help but look at her breast. She also wears pants that when she sits down exposes herself as well. She's 24. Is this just a younger generation thing of what's acceptable now or is she just dressig to casual? Should I say something to her?

The following ad was placed on a craigslist wanted section in my town:

Hi! I'm holding an experiment. One that tests the goodness and generosity of humankind. I am asking anyone who reads this to unconditionally give me a dollar or more, if you're so inclined. I will gladly come to you to collect. That's it. You see, I'm in the red and must defeat my bills in order to provide a more comfortable lifestyle and environment for my family. Don't get me wrong, I'm no effortless bum or public leech. I'm a hard working warehouse man with many creative ideas but unfortunately am also living paycheck by paycheck, week by week. I'm trying many things to overcome this financial burden. One being, faithfully reaching out to my fellow man and putting your souls to the test. Plus, one never knows until one asks or tries. So here it goes. Thank you for your consideration. Take care and be well!

Why is it that people think they are entitled to get something for nothing?

This is the new 'highlight' of the day for the morons at 2:30 when the blasting normally occurs. These jackas ses set their calendar reminders so they can all get up and look out the window… Then they all give the 'ohhhhh & ahhhhhh' as if they are watching the World's Fair firework finale after the blast takes place..

Even worse, they talk about it all day & they get upset I don't watch and ask me - "Why are you not going to watch the blasting?"..

Anyone have a nasty, wicked, witty response?

Do you try to be as quiet as possible when you're doing a number 2 or do you just let rip.
Personally I prefer to be as loud as possible.

I have an honesty issuse. Tuesday I went to Kmart. They were having a one night sale of clothes that were only $1 each. I got the items that I went in there for and I looked at the clothes and found 4 items that I wanted. At the cash register I watched the girl scan all my items. The clothes need a specail code to get them for a $1 and the supervisor showed her how to do this. She realized that she made a mistake and she voided the transaction and started over. I did not watch every move she made the 2nd time and I was talking to my son. I paid with a credit card so I did not pay close attention the the total. the other day I looked at the ticket and noticed that one of the items I have already opened and used was not on the reciept. It had the little anti theft sticker on it if it had not been rung up the scaners would have sounded as I was walking out. They did not sound. is that the 1st time she rang this the computer must have lifted the restriction. Should I go back?

My husband and I went on vacation last week and gave our neighbor a key to our apartment so that she could feed and give our cat water everyday. We paid her for this and I trusted her because she's older and and we've known he for 3 years.

When we got back home I noticed that things had been shuffled around. There was a chip clip on a bag of marshmallows (why was she in our cupboard?), my clothes in the closet were pushed aside and she told us that our wedding pictures were beautiful (she looked through our photo albums), and our computer was on. My books and notebooks that were on my bedroom dresser were moved around too. (we left the bedroom door closed but it was open when we got home)

I know none of these are really major things but it just kind of annoyed me that she went through our stuff. I don't mind that she looked at our albums but it was the fact that she didn't ask...she was supposed to come in and leave--not look around.

Should I say anything to her or forget it?

I work in a small downtown area in a women's clothing store. To the left of my store is a coffee shop, to the right, a gourmet food store, both owned by the same person. I often eat at both places, and get coffee. My husband and I get dinner from the gourmet store at least twice a week and have for about four years.

The other day I was working and began to feel hypoglycemic (I have a slight problem with this so I have to snack all the time). The food I brought for work that day was gone, so I phoned my husband and he bought me a pizza from the gourmet shop and paid with his debit card over the phone to have delivered to me. It's only about ten feet away, but I felt like passing out, so I couldn't get it myself.

The girl brought it over and acted very rudely to me, hurrying out of my store and not offering me any sort of friendly small talk.

I work as a hostess at the Olive Garden and I've come to the conclusion that people these days have what I call "Three Bears Syndrome". What I mean by that is all they want is for things to be just right.

It also gets me why people are so rude. Here's some common examples in my observations at work:

You say hello to the guests and how they are. They respond with silence or an indifferent "Hello" or "I'm fine...". I also especially love when they come in when I'm greeting and as soon as I ask how they are, they always say, "How long's the wait?" (and they also get into your personal space and look down on you like you're not a person).

I cannot understand is why the public can't have manners or respect for people anymore. I always smile and try to be polite to people even when they upset me. It's about staying professional. It pays off too. Someone one tried to accuse me of being rude once and some guests seated nearby told the manager the truth about what happened.

I let stuff like that bother me for days. That's not healthy.

Anyone know what that is?

I know im not the only one that gets like that......I just get so annoyed when someone does that, doesn't say excuse me and just looks straight ahead.

Why does no one have any manners anymore?
