This is the new 'highlight' of the day for the morons at 2:30 when the blasting normally occurs. These jackas ses set their calendar reminders so they can all get up and look out the window… Then they all give the 'ohhhhh & ahhhhhh' as if they are watching the World's Fair firework finale after the blast takes place..
Even worse, they talk about it all day & they get upset I don't watch and ask me - "Why are you not going to watch the blasting?"..
Anyone have a nasty, wicked, witty response?

Sounds like fun to watch to me! Plus it allows everyone a break from the normal routine. Let them have their fun. If you aren't in to it, just tell them you like to be a stick in the mud or that you wish they would come blast the pole out of your bum.
