Got several neighbours and most of them are ok. But the one right next door has been a pain in the past - set fire to the place on more than on occasion, left the gas on another time and frequently plays music so loud it could wake the dead. So, haven't really got much time for him!

My neighbours are GREAT and will do anything for me...all except the miserable cow next door.

Basically...she is just a miserable cow!

When I first moved in, I asked if I could... (get this) paint THEIR fence, giving it care, and love and protective attention, with exactly-what-it says-on-the-tin wood preservative. She said 'No' - because the colour I was using was different to the colour THEIR side of the fence was painted and she didn't want the drips going through.

Her husband, however, as chief bottle washer and fence painter, evidently saw the advantages in me doing this and was round about ten minutes later, begging me to go ahead.

She ain't spoken to me since!

And I have just had someone move in across the road...into a house that has been empty for AGES! No traipsing round the house commando for ME anymore!

Well, My neighbour's actually came across as really nice, down to earth people and we got along amazingly for just over a year........But....Unfortunately, It turned out that they were nothing more than a couple who revelled in other peoples troubles and enjoyed to gossip to all and sundrey about our personal lives even though when it was spoke about, it was done so in confidence!
Heartbreaking to say the least! And very awkward too!!

I get on fine with my neighbour, I never ever see them and have no idea what they are called. Mind you there is a really good space between the two properties.

me, when me and the missus moved into our rat-hole of a dump we tried to make do with what we had. old woman from across the road snooped right in, shes old school and means no harm. but we have her "rapataprap" on our living room window even when were in bed, i have to go down and make sure shes allright. shes an old woman who lives on her own who has sorta befriended us. shes well looked after by family, her son brings her dinner everyday. i've learnt through a hard life never to turn my back on a cider swigging youth or an old woman in distress. but me and the missus want a quiet life and left alone. as for our next door neighbour we dont even know his name, 2 1/2 years into the tenancy we have never said so much as a hello to eachother. i like it! total respect for one anothers privacy.
