i think they mean slacks/skirts nothing to revealing/short no after five, or stilettos, tennis shoes so flat dressy to two inch heels should be o k well at this point you will have to get back to me later and tell me what you found out about "smart casual".

Nah. we are only casual-form human beings. i'm particular my 5 365 days old will favor to positioned on a gown and her Mary Janes though. She is the prissiest little female I actual have ever seen. it truly is extremely the enigma to me considering i'm a finished tomboy. lol

it means casual, but not so casual that you look like you are headed to bed or to a strip club. You can wear nice jeans with cute shoes and a cute but conservative top. It's somewhere between business casual and going out with your girlfriends. No sequins, no miniskirts, you get the drift....

For me, it is just below some formal attire. For example, a suit without a tie for a man. It has to be formal clothes, no jeans (though some people say it's ok if you compensate it with the top). You must not look like you're going to a very formal dining.

Sounds like it means trendy business casual, but anyone saying "smart casual" probably wouldn't recognize trendy.

since it will be evening i think a modest skirt instead of slacks, and a nicer than usual modest blouse....but nothing glittery or flashy ;D
