They do have the right to say what they wish, because they are in America, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have gotten a piece of my mind. I am proud of my country and anyone that isn't is free to leave. No one is forcing them to be here. I just wouldn't have put up with it and they would have been well aware of my feelings when I left the dealership.
Edit concerning Outta Here's answer.
You mean you wouldn't have done what you just did when you answered this question? You are a hypocrite. If you wouldn't have done any of those things, you wouldn't have answered this question either. It's amazing how people like you are able to voice your opinion when offended, but when someone does it, they are wrong. People like you make me sick.

As far as ETIQUETTE goes, it was rude of them to discuss such matters loudly enough to be overheard by others. Such discussions on such topics should be left for the privacy of one's home (or car?). Frankly, I might have even been tempted to stand up and start singing aloud, "God Bless America" or "The Star-Spangled Banner" (our National Anthem?), then calmly sit back down... or even walk out.
As for your little "rant," while some may tell you it's against YA Guidelines, I have no problem with a rant now and then!
As for your grammar, do you not speak ENGLISH? or maybe its that you don't WRITE English well? Maybe we can chalk that off to your impassioned writing. In any case....
Have a polite day.

They have a right to say whatever they want, but you also have the right to take your buisness elswhere as well as tell them how rude and insulting they were. They should have been told so they would feel ashamed and think twice before doing that again. I hope you didn't buy a car from them.

ahhh, I would have probably told them as much, they were even using English for anyone to hear? I guess my mouth would have gotten me into trouble. Or jail. Yeah I would have told them all you said plus more. Everyone has the right to feel how they want, but making these statements in range of a customer was wrong and needs to be addressed, since they obviously are trying to get Americans to buy! from them

Here, tell them this, if I recall correctly, it means 'Go **** Yourself' in Vietnamese. Du Man Nieu. If they want to come here, buy our stuff and talk about us like we are the worms that obviously they do not realize they were borns as, then, let them go back to their shithole goat herding, repressive and backwards nations and see how they like it there.
By the way, did you know that, although, over 50 % of middle eastern men who come here to study return home ( Which, by the way, is a very small amount of men.), most middle eastern women stay here? Back home, the societies they came from would force them to hide under rags and cover themselves up live they were leprous monsters. When they are exposed to a modern society and they see what it means to be free, then they realize that they never want to be 'under the yoke' again.
That right there should tell you what kind of ignorant bastards you heard at Colonial Nissan.
God Bless America.

I would have got up and left, making sure as many people as possible knew why i was leaving. There are people with bad manners everywhere and it is hard to stomach. I always feel that when foreigners come to Scotland they are visiting me personally and I don't expect to be told the things they don't like. They should have the maners to keep it to themselves. I hope you feel better now that you have written it down.

Ignored the conversation, that's what I would have done.
And....I wouldn't have assumed that they weren't Americans.
And....I wouldn't have assumed that they give a dam what I thought.
And....I would have assumed they might be of a culture or religion that is strict.
And...I wouldn't have gotten all high-and-mighty thinking I was better than they were.
And...when your ancestors came here, they didn't speak the language either. It is usually the second generation of immigrants who become fluent in English.
And....they have the right to their opinion, as you do to yours.
And...they are working people who pay taxes and pay for services and can afford to purchase a car - just like you.
And...they would know how to spell "adamant" and know that something "sticks in your craw" not in your "crawl"....and probably would know what a "craw" is.
Your diatribe has "stuck in my craw" and I have "vented" also.....I feel much better now.

First of all, its really none of your business. People can marry whoever they want, and if they don't like Americans as marriage partners oh well! Just because it is America everyone doesn't have to be all happy-go-lucky and patriotic about it. Did you ever think that maybe those people were refugees or exiles of some sort? What if they had to leave their home country in order to save their life? Or simply, what if they had a bad experience with American people in some relationship or something?
You don't know the reasons on why they said that, and really you shouldn't care. It's their life, and you have no right to judge them on it.

I hate that. It's so completely frustrating.
You can't really do anything about it. If you confronted them, i would be rude since you weren't engaged in their conversation.
Yes, we are in America, the land of the free. Fortunately, that includes freedom of speech. Unfortunately, complete morons abuse the right.

Damn hypocrites... I don't understand why so many people hate Americans. It's like they think the 1% of the population who are idiots somehow represents us all.
