Does anyone else think it's reallt rude that when you go to all the trouble of answering a question honestly, trying to give people a bit of help, some nasty pasty always seems to give you a thumb down?

Why are there so many moody bums out there??? Cheer up!

According to some people, they say I'm attractive, so this has nothing to do with appearance. But I always seem to try so hard for people to like me. I respect everyone around me, am nice to everyone and always try to listen when they speak. but I feel like I get left out when for example co-workers dont invite me to go out with the group for drinks, or want my phone #. What should I do to get invited or feel accepted!

My husband is out of town on business and in the evening he decided to go out for a motorcycle ride with his dad for an hour while in town. I said that was fine but I was sick and feeling bad but an hour was okay but could he stick close to his phone after that just in case I needed anything or just needed support from my husband. Well I called a couple of times after the hour had passed then found out they added dinner to their route. I am okay on my own and all but inconsideratness to any level is hard to tolerate when I feel sick as dog and am throwing up etc. What do you think?

Do you send the flowers prior to the time of the funeral? I know this sounds like a silly question, but I'm not hip to funeral etiquette. Thanks for any help.

I have noticed several times that if a person asks an emotional question on sensitive issues like race, abortion, etiquette etc.. if the person who asks this question is a good-looking & good-natured woman who means no harm, then people are ready to go ballistic and rude on her because they don't agree with her point of view.

HOWEVER, if the questioner is like the tough & no-bull type of guy, then the responses all seem to be in line & no one dares to raise their emotion towards the person.

Why does this happen on public boards like Y!A? Why do people like to let out their rage on innocent people & their answers normally get more thumbs-ups than thumbs-downs?

I'm confused. As a kid, we were always taught to NOT speak to strangers, but we would be called rude if we didn't greet them by saying HELLO when passing by out in public.

I would prefer to get a really nice card and put a check in it but how much is acceptable? I can look her up in registrys but am at college having a hard time getting to a store plus, I would rather not have to bring something huge with me to the reception. I have not met this sister yet but have met the rest of his family so I am wondering what an accpetable gift of money would be or if I really should get a gift or a gift card...any suggestions?

I bought a pack of three pairs of socks last week, I felt carefree, so I went for the assorted colours and had a grey pair, a blue pair and a black pair (for those boys nights out)
Anyway I did a big wash earlier and now I've got a black and grey pair, a grey and blue pair and a blue and black pair and I'm quite irritated.
Would I be able to take thrm back to the shop tomorrow during my lunch break and demand a refund? After all this is not what I bought and this colour combination does not match any of my Autumn collection.
What on earth has happened to the British hosiery industry when this sort of thing happens? I'm emigrating as soon as I can

I'm throwing a baby shower for my sister this weekend and for guest gifts, I am going to give out candy bags (with various chocolates and other types of candy) with pink ribbon attached to them. I really wanted to add something to the bags like a poem or something, but I was thinking that since I would have to give out thank you notes, is it ok to just attach one to all of the guests gifts or would it be more proper to mail them out to each person after the shower. I couldn't really find any etiquette information about this. What are your suggestions?

Okay, so I'm 11. Last night I left my cell phone in my jacket's pocket, when I went to school this morning with my jacket on, I noticed there while I was on my bus, I just turned it off and decided I would keep in my pocket and leave my jacket in my locker until the end of the day. When I took my jacket out later, my cell phone must have fallen out while I was walking..... should I tell my mom exactly what happened? Or just wait until she asked about it and say that I can't find it anywhere? Because last time when it was actually her, she got SOOOO mad and yelled at me alot.... then i found it in my room where SHE left it and then she pretended that nothing happened.... so what should I do?
