I bought a pack of three pairs of socks last week, I felt carefree, so I went for the assorted colours and had a grey pair, a blue pair and a black pair (for those boys nights out)
Anyway I did a big wash earlier and now I've got a black and grey pair, a grey and blue pair and a blue and black pair and I'm quite irritated.
Would I be able to take thrm back to the shop tomorrow during my lunch break and demand a refund? After all this is not what I bought and this colour combination does not match any of my Autumn collection.
What on earth has happened to the British hosiery industry when this sort of thing happens? I'm emigrating as soon as I can

Have you tried re-sorting them like this:
put the 2 black ones together
put the 2 grey ones together
put the 2 blue ones together
and there you go: 1 pair black, 1 pair blue and 1 pair grey.
I did the math for you!

Sure you can ask for a refund. However I doubt that you will get it though. I am not really oe to "waste" money but this might be one of the ones that you just suck it up as a loss and leave it at that. I mean they could not have cost that much. And hun they are just socks it not like any one will really see what color they are and if they notice and say something they need to find something better to do other than walking around looking at people's socks.

I'd return them. Next time, try adding some vinegar to the wash when you buy new clothes, especially darker colors, or soak the item in some vinegar. Something with the vinegar helps the color stay dark. And also, wash your darks in cool/cold water.
Or, just buy some new clothes for your Autumn collection that match your socks :)

Funny. My father was once caught with one navy and one black sock on. He just told them he had another pair just like them at home. Turned a funny situation into even funnier.

It's lovely to have a man about the house but some things seem to escape males completely. Did you read the washing instructions?

Simple it's full of liberals and communists hell bent on bringing down British Society.
Good socks in Tesco but Asda do them cheaper.

Just match the socks properly before you put them away.
Or, buy 2 more packs, and you're sure to find a great match!
