Is it sad or acceptable that people depend on phones to tip?

A few times in school (college), I'd write funny stuff on the blackboards in our Spanish classes, & the professors would come in & make more jokes about it & correct my sentences. I was trying to practice my Spanish here. So I tried it in one class, & this man (another student) yelled at me, cursed me out, & threatened me because he was afraid I was going to get the whole class in trouble & cause the professor to get upset & make him not graduate. He was unnecessarily paranoid. The professor wasn't even worried about what I did. I didn't write anything bad.

***& when I told my counselor about it, she told me that I should never ever again in my life write on blackboards because of his reaction. He overreacted, & why should I do what he says if he was graduating? I'll never see him again. Now what if I were to become a teacher/professor? I can't write on blackboards anymore because of what HE & my counselor say?

Simple question.... i think..
Can you, as an individual, change your own body temperature from your surroundings?

I am asking because, here's the deal.
I am a young adult, living in the heat of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Of course it get's very hot around here alot! But ever since I was in junior high (at least 7 years ago) I've wore a sweater, coat, etc every day. I even sleep with a blanket.
Now years later, I've noticed, that I don't get hot or cold as easliy as others. I can be in a 'freezing' place and I'm not as 'delicate' as other people.
So I was wondering.. am I just plain,'weird'... or did my 'many years' of wearing a sweater (even in the dying heat) make me change my own body's temperature and subjectivity?

just wondering... I'm sure one of you is smart enought to answer logicaly my question.. hahhaa

I don't like being rude but they just keep following me around bugging me when I go into a furniture store. "I'm just browsing, thanks. I'll ask you if I have any questions," doesn't seem to do it. Know the magic thing to say? I have a lot of shopping to do and if I have to do it all with somebody hovering a few feet away trying to be helpful every 90 seconds, I am going to ...um... want to drink more beer than is entirely healthy or something.

Is it considered personal use if you use a non-profit song someone else made (i.e. a homemade remix of a video game song, like on OCRemix) in your own work if it's just something you give out to a few of your friends and not the general public (and of course, still giving credit to the artist regardless)?

i have a neighbour who has 4 children, they constantly shout (mum and kids), they come into my garden and have tried to take my animals out of their hutch, have gone to the toilet on 1 occasion in the side drain(not N0:1`s) and have tried again today. i have had the mother shout at me before when i asked her to stop the kids coming in...she just proceeded to shout at me and told me they never come in the garden!!!!, the older girl (about 9) is very nasty, has called me names on a lot of occasions, stares when we are in the garden and generally makes me feel uncomfortable to be in my own garden.
any SENSIBLE suggestions on what to do....cant build side wall higher at the min either

Im a manager at a local company. Im the only manager out of the other 3 whom dont view their work before their family. Im the one doesn't take the "im a manger listen to me NOW' attitude. This has caused me great hassle. Im flat out ready to quit. I just found out last Fri. that on this coming Wed. I have to have surgery on my wrist and will be off for 2 or more weeks. The boss flipped out (Sept. is the busiest time of yr for us). That was the last straw. I have 24 sick days that I want to use before I resign. So the question is...Do I use up my sick time then give a 2 week notice? OR Do I use my sick time, come back then give a 2 wk notice? I dont want to go into work again..I hate that place. I also have put ads out to babysit and in 3 days found 3 kids to watch, which means I can start watching them asap. What should I do?

would like to know if site is monitored re: answers.
there should be an answer to a question asked-if someone out there knows-we`re not all einstiens or walking encyclopaedias-and reason we ask questions is not to be picked up on our grammar nor stupid childish `remarks`
this is a good site. there are persons as young as 14-danielle-with a good head on her shoulders-others not-what example are we showing? a learning process-i think not-yes-as all-i can be a jerk at times-this isn`t site to inform me of such-hope for sake of majority-i read profiles-that there aren`t many muppets on site. i`m not offensive-don`t expect back re: questions asked. sincerely hope you all have a good day.

I work with this married guy at work. He and his wife have no kids and they both work. I have met his wife and she's nice. There's this chick at work who's single but has little kids. She wants this married guy real bad and is playing very obvious games to snag him. She seems to only like going for married or taken men. When the boss isn'
t around, this chick is in this guys office or sitting outside with this guy. She covers for this guy when it comes to work all the time. It doesn't matter what time of day or night it is-she always seems to know where he is and what he's doing. It's affecting the qualty of work of both and there is a no co-worker romantic relationship policy in effect. My boss asked me outright but I had no proof so kept mum. So, my boss is wondering now to. Anyway, my question is: Should I continue to stay out of this as it really is none of my business except when it comes to the work quality or, should I find a way to let his wife know?

Payday is always the 1st and 15th, yet we constantly have wives announcing when the pay stubs are online for viewing (they ALWAYS go up about 7 days before payday!). Every two weeks someone announces the stubs are up. What are your opinions?

I'm a very shy person, especially around most of my coworkers. I really like them though because they seem like nice people with good hearts. I'm assuming that they know I'm shy because I'm pretty quiet, blush and have trouble initiating conversations. I have sent a few appreciation cards to a few of them though. I've also talked to them a little more when it's one-on-one.

Recently in small ways, they've started approaching me one by one to try to talk to me. For instance, I ran into 2 of them. Immediately started blushing when they approached me. Had a brief encounter about our summers but that was it.

I'm so worried that eventually they are going to be detracted and not want to talk to me because I still get shy when they approach me now. (They didn't use to approach me). They've characterized me as "soft-spoken" "gentle" "quiet" and "kind"

Do you think the blushing and shy attacks are going to detract them?
