Someone walked in,,,picked up the very large potted plant and walked out the door with it. We didn't know they weren't supposed to do that...We thought it was being replaced or something...walked right out the front door,,,bold as you please,,,and we let him....LOL

My favorite story was the one about the lady who stole steaks from the grocery, and put them between her legs, just above the knees. She was more than a bit overweight, and thus thought the steaks wouldn't show. Unfortunately, it was the act of putting them under her skirt, not the seeing of them once they were there, that tripped her up.
My friend, a security guard when off duty from the local police force told me about this one, I did not want to know how the steaks were suspended, and did not ask.
I guess what she stole for the place she put it was good thinking, steaks and there packaging would bend a bit, and not hurt if it fell out, or become dislodged. Cans would hurt. Chocolate would melt. Produce too big and bulky, have to steal a lot of it to be worth it, and then, even she would not be able to hide a bag of oranges. Bakery goods would squish, frozen foods would give her frostbite, steak=good choice!
My other favorite was the guy, and I knew him, who climbed in from the roof into the local public golf course office, stole only candy bars, and then was stuck there because he could not get back out. When asked if that was what he intended to steal, he said yes.

It may not have been the funniest stole, but it was the funniest attempt. We noticed a lady walking with a cane and she was extremely bowlegged. We were watching her and right before she went out the door, the 13 inch TV she had gripped between her thighs fell out and she ran out the door. Still Don't how she managed enough thigh muscle to walk with that between her legs. LOL!

I once caught a guy trying to steal a penis pump when i worked at Castlemega Store.
And another guy steal 4 boxes of tide laundry soap when i worked at Circle K. :)

Some kid tried to steal a CD out of the case when he went shopping . . . WITH HIS MOTHER. So when he got caught, you know what his mother did, right? I'm sure he was sore when he got home, if he didn't go to jail first, that is!

A can of bean sprouts. As it turned out, they had never eaten them before and couldn't explain why they wanted bean sprouts? I gave them the bean sprouts and told them to enjoy.

i worked in retail when i was 15 and this kid came in with his family after church and stole a wallet lol it was hilarious. it was like his WHOOOLLLEEE family. Mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandma. it looked like a family reunion.

People steal condoms and pregnancy tests all the time from our store.
You can get both of those free at the clinic...
