If you found 400 bucks in a bank envelope laying on the ground with no additional info to whom it belonged to, laying on the bank lobby floor, would you keep it? I believe in karma, and my answer is no even though its very tempting. Interested in your answers?

Does he not like being in the office with the rest of us? Every day he is here first and leaves on his little vino scooter early.

I have worked at a large corporation for about 6 months, with many different offices/departments in the same building. There is an upcoming shower for a woman who works in another department, whom I have never met and the other people in my office (who all know her) are chipping in to buy a gift. Should I feel obligated to contribute, or is it okay to decline?

A friend of mine that I met at work set me up with her brother. Well, to make a long story short he is a dead beat pathetic loser. My friend and I get along great so I cant understand y she would suggest this when he is so horrible. How can she as a woman think to hurt another woman,me, in this manner since he brings her to her knees on a daily basis....y then in turn do it to me? Help me understand.

P.S.

No she didnt mention her brotherly problems she made it seem like he was a decent person.

just started a new job, and this guy that works with me, works in another room, and when he passes by , he always looks in the room,(but I guess that might not really mean anything) and everytime he passes by he always come in and chit chats, and he'll ask me what I'm doing(even though there are two people in the room) and he'll sit in my desk, and look at my computer, and ask ME stuff about politics, and news..I mean it's very casual but he always asks me if I went to lunch yet, and today, me and another co -worker sit in the same room and while they were talking I started doing my own thing typing my other friend on the computer, and he stood behind me and kept hitting my chair...and I'm thinking why does he keep doing that, and then he asks me if I know of a good church, because he hasnt been to one...'s been herein the city for almost eight years ...I'm confused as to why he's playing dumb and being nosey.. Well anyhow what do you think

plus...he came into my office and he was dancing and stuff acting silly, and I made a little joke, and he laughed so hard and he put his arm around my neck and gave me a small little hug...and asked me if I was watching the awards show, or if I had been to the county fair..because he notices that I be on all the websites...do you think he's just a brownoser or something else?

I sometimes get compliments from people and I really don't know what to say in response. I don't want to seem rude. What is proper etiquette? Do you have to compliment them back? Do you just say thank you? I mean I am flattered by it of course, anyone would be, but I don't know how to react. I kind of feel uncomfortable because I have low self esteem and I feel like the person is lying. Haha. Sounds bad, but I just want some input. Thanks in advance.

If so, why do you think that is? Is it more or less rude than other questions like, "So, what do you do for a living?" or "Where do you live?" or "Are you married?"?

Do you think that there are *any* questions you could ask someone who you just met, not knowing them at all, that you could be sure were not possibly going to be offensive to them? How should I start a conversation, start getting to know someone, if not by trying to find out more about who they are & find common ground with them?

And, why do you think it bothers you to answer that question or explain your choice to curious people? If you're comfortable with your choice & your place in society, and if you want to raise awareness of this choice in others, wouldn't it actually benefit you to answer this?

I know it's easy to read anger into my questions, but I really am curious about it. I know I'm guilty of asking the dreaded question myself & want to understand so that I can learn & be more polite.

but same race co-worker was as usual.....So I think I should catch a cold and call out on Monday and not be here. Why should I sit a work while "those folks" get to enjoy the day in the sun, eating and drinking. I think it is the rude, discrimanating and most of all FAKE on his behalf. So I am your friend in the office ....but NOT OUTSIDE? HMmmm Opinions on what you would do ?

I'm looking for a nice all round motor car have to consider miles per gallon. Must be cheap on parts. Cheap to insurance and repairs. I am over 25 years

What year make, model, and price should I avoid?.

I would appreciate help in this as there are so many makes and models around. I prefer medium sized car's, nothing too small such as 'mini types' and nothing too big and of course engine size 1.2 possibly

Any good sites to recommend appreciated

My wife is frequently invited to "selling parties" where the hostess is sponsoring a company that comes in to sell stuff to those in attendance. The hostess receives credit for the sales and is able to buy stuff herself at a discount or free.

Should these be viewed as a business transaction in which one is free to simply decline if they are not interested in the merchandise being sold? Or is it a social event hosted by a friend in which the invitation should be accepted out of courtesy even if she has no interest in the product being sold?

She doesn't sponsor these things herself, so there's no issue of hypocrisy here (declining others' invitations then expecting them to come to hers) but doesn't want to hurt the feelings of her friends who hold these parties.

I am a waitress at a steakhouse, where the bills can range from 20-200. Last night I had a couple that ate all you can eat crablegs for 20 each with a side and a salad. There total came to $55. I know the service was great because I only had one other table. However they only left $5. I wasn't sure if I had done something wrong but they seemed really happy with everything. Do some people just tip the lowest amount possible even if they get great service and the food was good?

Theres this old house im in, theres a furnace that you have to keep re filling in order to stay warm, if the water goes down you have to go down to the basement and re fill it. You cant even go anywhere or leave your home for more than a couple days in the winter because if you do the water will go down and the pipes will burst and youll come home to a dangerously ice cold home and have to call a repair man. Why did the landlord do this? they just installed a new one and its the same kind , are they cheap or something? what do they expect? you not to go anywhere during the winter and stay attendent to the heater?

I don't want ot say 'ta-ra' because too many people around where I live say it. I'm feeling uncomfortable saying 'bye' because it sounds really cold when I say it to my dad and daughter, and it sounds like my mother(!) I need another way to say it.
