ive been with the company for less than 4 months now. good pay, fantastic benefits, am and pm shift (suitable for me) and also quite a lot of things for me to learn. but today, ive been dignosed with adjustment disorder. the doc said that its just a step away from nervous breakdown and depression.my manager and a few other colleagues out of 17 IS the problem.
1. fault-finding - anything so minor would be put under "stand up" for so and so. and reprimanded in front of WHOEVER - including patients.
2. constantly bad-mouthing each other behind and even if the person is around.
3. open sarcastic talk when ppl dun get along with another person
4. ZERO tolerance of anything that may cropped up during work. (no professionalism)
5. CONSTANT putting down on others to show one is more intelligent.
6. Put the blames on other when something goes wrong. (i witness how one of my colleagues was being blamed for something she wasnt responsible for!)

Recently, while I was extremely sick with a bad case of bronchial pneumonia, my neighbour, who I don't know too well, came around and brought a whole bunch of pre cooked meals for my family. She also shopped for me a few times, picked up my daughter from school, etc.
I was so surprised and how thoughful she was, and was thinking of a way to pay her back now that I'm back on my feet.
Anyway, she's mentioned a few times how she can't get her yard in order, flowerbeds, etc, because she's so busy at work. I'm a pretty keen gardener, so I've thought of offering to do some yard work for her, including planting some nice flowers that I could buy for her.
Do you think she would understand the gesture, or would it be considered rude, as if I was offended by her yard or something (which I'm not)?

Our country of Australia has bushfires, droughts, floods & storms. Our worst disasters are by far the big bushfires we have in summer.
The worst one I can remember was in 1983, when a firestorm ripped through our state & Victoria killing 75 people. It cause millions of dollars worth of damage.
Some of our bush fires develop into firestorms and they are so bad.
What is the worst kind of natural disaster than your country has?

I am a plus-sized woman who finds it difficult to wear clothes to fit well. I am interviewing with a company whose clothes I've worn for many years, is it appropriate to wear clothes from their stsore to the interview? The attire is professional-it's not like I'm wearing the logo across my chest or anything.

A co-worker/friend asked me what my plans for lunch were. I told her I was planning on going to a local restaurant with another co-worker. So naturally I invited her because she had no plans set yet. She makes no commitment with me. Hours later, she approaches me and says that she is going for sushi with a different group of co-workers and extended the invitation to my friend and I. I said no. Is this rude of her???

I just started this new job, more money, close to my home, just all around better, but I have one small problem. My boss's wife comes in and smokes in the building upstairs and it filters through the entire building a/c system almost daily. It smells so awful, and I'm sneezing, coughing, my face is breaking out, and I know I can't complain cause I've heard she was a witch. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but I wonder if there is some kind of way I can get her to go outside or something. I thought about getting one of those air purifiers, but I noticed that's not good for smoke. I don't want to quit either, what do you suggest I do?

I am a visitor living in a gated community in California. During my constitutional, I often find local papers lying uncared for on driveways and lawns, their pages weather-beaten. Sometimes I have the urge to pick these up and deposit them in the nearest trash can. Would this act be considered trespassing? Would I be branded a rag-picker? On the larger issue, knowing that some people don't care for free papers, why are these editions distributed thoughtlessly?

she will have sporadic moments of talkativeness if there are only a few people around (1-3). Usually it's only when someone invites her into the conversation or asks her a question. What would you think of her?

ALSO, if you invited her out with the rest of your coworkers/friends and she asked you if the place gets crowded or if a lot of people go, what would you think? What would you think if she sent you a text message later in the day saying she can't make it, but to let her know if they do anything later?

Would you think badly of her?

In recently came to america... this is my 6th month here...

in my culture when i go out to eat with friends... 1 person pays for everyone... but in america ive noticed... that there are separate bills....

do friends usually pay only for themselves? what about really really really good friends (not dates just friends)?

in what case would u pay the whole bill?

would it be awkward if i were pay for just a regular friend?

is this a suggestive act in america? would it be considered to be gay?

is there a way to say let me take u out for..... to a friend so they wont think ur gay? would it be a nice gesture or would u be creaped out?

I was walking down the street, and I saw some woman carrying what looked like a heavy suitcase. I could tell she had trouble carrying it because she was using both hands and always switching the way she was carrying it.

As soon as she noticed me, she tried making it look like she had no problem carrying it. I know where she lives since she's a neighbor, but I never talked to her before and didn't know wether to ask her if she needed help or not.
