there will be haters no matter what a person tries to do, good of bad.

Yes, because you set a higher standard and make the people who don't live clean , decent lives look bad. They don't like how they feel after seeing your example so they lash out at you.

Yes they are.because you have people that hate to see that
person have more than them or do better than them.
