Look at her in the eyes, smile and when she turns her back, i'll give her the finger. I don't wanna hurt an old lady as much as I want to.

Smile, and walk away. Tell her, "Have a better day." Maybe a young person was rude to her. There are a lot of hateful, spiteful old ladies out there. I have another word for them but I hope I am never rude to anyone.

Ok....respect your elders is what we have been taught but lets face it...the old farts can be just plain mean! They think nothing of glaring, or telling you what you are wearing is unacceptable. I wonder if we pranced around in the polyester pants up to our chests and our worn out t-shirts that barely have enough elastic to stay in its original shape as it has been washed a million times, and demanded we get a discount as we have earned it because they have lived for so long, what they would think. Oh and lets not forget the part where we are paying their social security and when we come of age...we will most likely be S.O.L. Basically....we are forced to look past granny's snide remarks and refrain from grabbing the forbidden decorative soaps in the bathroom and respect them for the years they have lived and the troubles they have been dealt, because one day you yourself will have a snot rag in your pocket you only wash once a month.
Its the way it goes, i suppose...

Call her on it.
If they use the "old person, you should have respect for me" card, let them know that respect is earned, and that it goes both ways.
I will treat the elderly as I did for my grandparents, but if they are rude, they need to be treated as you would anyone else that is rude to you.

Don't give her the time of day. After walking away, just think in five years, the old hag is six feet under ground.

Keep an open mind. A lot of times older people don't hear or see that good. Maybe their intentions were not what you thought. Just move on and let go of it - old lady or not.

Seeing as I go out of my way to be nice and respectful to elderly people, if someone is rude to me after I go out of my way for them I usually give them a look of disgust and walk off ranting loudly about judgemental old wretches that don't care who they make miserable. Trust me, they hear me every time.

When an old lady is rude to you, you must immitate a video game.. break her leg off and brutally beat her with it.. if her leg refuses to come off use yours and just kick her.
