A business suit is always appropriate for a woman.

Because it's an evening affair, you can also wear jewelry with a bit more sparkle than you'd wear during the day and dressier shoes (make sure they coordinate with the suit, though.)

Evening makeup (not clubbing makeup), a manicure and hair, too!

Have fun and smile.

Wear something appropriate for a very high-level business meeting - which is what a business dinner is.

That means a well-tailored suit, conservative dress, or pantsuit. Wear modest shoes, conservative make-up, modest jewelry. Wear a nice perfume, although not so strong as to knock those around you for a loop.

Oh and run-less pantyhose

I'd wear a skirt and knit top that Im comfortable in, with some jewelry but keep it minimal. You want to look like you're off work and there to have fun, but not slutty so make sure you don't show any cleavage or that your skirt isn't too short.

Regular business attire or a little dressier for women is appropriate. A suit or a non revealing dress would be ideal.

The little black dress works for both occasions. You can dress it up with a nice necklace, pearls or diamonds/rhinestones. nothing too flashy. A nice pair of black heels. Maybe a paisley patterned shawl or with sequins. You will be ready for any function.

Since it is a business dinner, you would wear a simple suit or a tailored blouse and skirt or pant.
