Are you male or female? closest or furthest away from the door?
Just wondering if there is a common factor. Will help resolve lunch time debate in office.Thanks

Female, and I start on the right side as you`re facing the bed, in this house it is closest to the door, in my last home it was furthest from the door. However, all during the night I can be anywhere on that bed so where I`ll wake up is always a surprise. ( My poor husband!)

I'm female. I sleep on the right which is furthest from the door - this is because the bed we bought is a bit too big for the space and I have to climb over the footstead to get in and out. He gets up at 04.20 so it's easier for him to get up without climbing about in the dark. After he gets up I roll into the middle.
If the bed fitted better I would prefer nearest the door as nearest the bathroom.

When I was with my ex, I always slept nearest the door, wherever we happened to be i.e. at friends, hotels, B&Bs. He hated sleeping on the side nearest the door.
Now I'm single, and have rearranged the bedroom, I tend to sleep on the left of the bed, which is actually furthest from the door. Two cats now take up the other half, and they take up more room than the ex did!!

Female, I sleep on the left of the bed which is closest to the door when I have a choice but don't mind moving over if I have a visitor.
