Of course i know i can stomp on the floor, and to all the women out there, of course i know i can go and politely tell them they are being loud and we can sit down and have milk and cookies but where's the fun in that. Looking for something creative, yet practical. Its in a college apartment and i have people all around me so blasting music myself will only have the snowball effect...

she also offers me her bath water when she is through. How arrogent is that? Especially since I know she blows her nose into it. I think she pees in the shower too.

I am debating with a friend of mine who thinks that it is supposed to be standing "on" line, such as at the grocery store. I believe it is the other ("in"). I'd like to see who else agrees or doesn't, and I would also like to know where you are located (to see if it is a 'regional' thing). You don't have to say your specific location, but "East Coast", "Midwest", "South", West", etc would be helpful. Thank you!

It never fails to amaze me how often I see the finger thrown my way. And whats funny is that often the person giving the gesture is in the wrong for cutting off the driver or running thru a red light.

My neighbor had a crisis a few days before her 10-day Alaska cruise: her dog sitter cancelled at last moment. She asked me if I would keep her dog. I told her yes, and I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, but it was tougher than I thought. Her dog just turned 1 while she was away, and it is a yappy Maltice. Now it's a cutie, but that dog is in serious need of dog training (plus it peed all over my house). Well, just before she left she said "When I return I want to take you and Marty {my husband} out for dinner" but I said, "Well, I think it would be great if you would be avialable for 10 days of dog sitting for us considering we travel a lot". Well, that was our deal. Now she is back and she just brought over a nice gift from Alaska, a $75 gift certificate to Baby's R Us (I'm 15 wks pregnant), and she gave us a $75 gift certificate to a VERY exp restaurant here in Altanta (the cost of dinner at this place will be at least $150.00). The person I am referring to is a lieutenant colonol. When addressing them for the first time (I will be meeting them tomorrow), do I use the whole 'Lieutenant Colonol Smith.' Or what?

Thanks.

Its my friend's birthday, and I don't know what to write in the card! Its a guy, so nothing too emotional. I've only known him for a month (since school started), so nothing too personal either.

My job entails answering reader snail mail, and I receive many letters with return addresses that don't include street clarification (such as the word road or boulevard.) A typical letter will look like this:

234 Harrison
Boulder, CO 55555

I have received MANY letters addressed like this (even on resumes) while working at two different companies now. Is including a street label optional? Where is everyone getting the idea to do this?

I am blessed that I along with my husband are hosting a party at our home. We will have appetizers and desserts. In past parties because I LOVE being around people I have gotten wound up, excited and hyper, what is a good way to relax hosting a party so the attention is on others and not myself? What is the proper way to introduce people at a party?

Im getting married but my fiance and i dont have a house.
We will be staying with my parents after we marry.
We dont have anywhere to put gifts so we were thinking of recommending money as a gift. We dont know how long we will be at my parents house, and we dont want to have to put things in storage.
Are there nice ways to suggest this

There are these guys that sit with me at lunch and just about every girl that gets up to dump their tray they have to comment on their butts or boobs or both. It is very aggravating and I try to tell them they will get in a fight with one of there boyfriends if they find out. What should I do to stop them?

I know waitresses make almost all their money off tips, but don't hairdressers make a regular wage?? I just dropped fifteen bucks on a ten minute trim, that seems like more than enough payment to me!

What about other professions?

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to be cheap, but I work just as hard for my own money...

thanked, they thank the others) or no thankyou, as in no thank-yous necessary (like saying no salt kind of format)? I know this is a random question but you know how "no thank-you's" are like daily things that people say but I personally think they're kinda used wrong...I mean like say someone gives you a candy, why would someone say "No thank-you"? It doesn't make sense if you take it literally you know?

Just learned that some people at work have been taking lunch or food that doesn't belong to them. It hasn't happened to me but hearing that even if container is clearly marked, others will just take it and eat all the food.
Does anyone know of something that when added to food makes someone sick (stomach pains & Diarhhea sick - not really sick or death)
Thinking I might need to do the Ex-Lax brownies but would prefer to add something to already half eaten food and teach someone a lesson if they decide to swipe it.

I have a few questions about Homecoming, but first a few details. My daughter is on the homecoming court, her father is in NC till October, so a family friend will be her escort, does he buy the flowers, or do I buy them for my daughter? When she gets her hair done, should she wear her dress, keep in mind that it has to go over her head. Should I dress up as well??

I have noticed, due to scientific investigation of course, that my finger fits very snugly up my own hooter yet when I have tried to shove it up my husbands nose (apart from getting a slap) it does not fit at all! surely we are meant to pick our noses? what did we do before Kleenex? See for yourself by doing my little scientific experiment, perhaps on the train, bus or even in your local shopping centre! see if your finger fits up anyone elses nose? I bet it's not as snug as your own.

I know about noise ordinances, but come on! We live in a townhome. We work late and eat late. My neighbor complains that even though I do it quietly, I shouldn't BBQ after 10pm because the smell makes her hungry and she can't sleep......Thoughts?
