Do you mean things like "Please bring Harold and I copies of the contract."?

"Me and Dennis are going there tomorrow."

And one of the greatest sports lines of all time "I'm here to help turn this franchise around 360 degrees."

LOL GREAT question! Everything you said and...

In general, poor grammar makes me crazy! I work with a girl that couldn't put a sentence together with construction paper and glue and she sounds so dumb to me, even though I know she's quite educated.

Words like "irregardless" and all the other words people use incorrectly.

LOUD TALKING ON CELL PHONES IN PUBLIC, as though I really want to hear a person's private conversation.

People putting on makeup while driving.

People who call every person on the planet "Dude!"

Oh yeah! And people in their 40's or older trying to act like people in their 20's. I'm in my 40's and having a great time. Another co-worker is having an age crisis and is only succeeding in making herself look ridiculous.

That's probably enough ranting for now. Thanks!

AAAAA.. pet peeves.. I LUV 'EM!

-- "sentiment" vs "sediment"
-- "cavalry" vs "Calvary"
-- "prostate" vs "prostrate"

Phrases:

-- "Deal with it!"

Actions:

-- "bodily functions" displayed proudly in public (belching, farting, etc.)
-- Vehicles not signalling turns and lane changes
-- "IM-ing" instead of using PROPER English
-- ALL Billy Mays commercials... the man should be shot!

That's just a few of mine, for now!

Have a polite day!

I'm going to have to agree with your list, but especially number 3. I have a regular email contact that always spells it that way, regardless of how many times I spell it correctly in return.

"thats" also annoys me. /tease

I hate the word utilize. There are certain cases when it's the right choice, but most people use it instead of "use" so they sound smarter.

I really hate when people use nonsensical words that they assume everyone knows what they are talking about. Words like

"thingy"
"thingamajig"
"thingamabob"

How about
- "loosing weight" [fine, go ahead and untie it]
- "how many boy's were there?" [What thing belonging to that boy?]
- people who seem to think flatulence is humorous

"pu$$y" it just sounds gross
when people type "wat" instead of "what"
when people dig in their noses in public
when people talk real mean to you but smile while doing it.
people that can't take a hint.
