It never fails to amaze me how often I see the finger thrown my way. And whats funny is that often the person giving the gesture is in the wrong for cutting off the driver or running thru a red light.

Ignorance is what I call it. I mean I'm only in my early twenties but some of these people in this world today just have no moral boundaries. I mean if I've cut someone off I don't turn around and give them the finger, I take the blame, it's my fault, my mistake and then I learn to take more care. There is no politeness, no virtue, no more "love thy neighbour" it's just gone hay wire. Some people just choose to be ignorant and selfish of others feelings or safety.

and cause its really funny when a person u know that is always funny as hell gives u the finger.. and they mean it... lol
usally people who run through a red light and get the finger dont usually see it.. lol thats the best part about it.. you can cuss at them and swear all u want but trust me they wont ever hear it.. lol

That's how they handle rage. Problem is that you can be shot nowadays for that, or beat to a bloody pulp. It's a lot easier to just ignore stuff.

i think that people give other people the finger out of jelousy and sometimes anger. sometimes it is ment as a joke then other time it could really hurt someones feelings.

aaaah. the universal sign language that EVERYONE knows! I have been giving the finger, ( no they are NOT number one!) to people that cut my HUBBY off (I don't drive. period) and the surprised looks I get!! anyways, just my thoughts.

What they are trying to say is "I'm angry and I don't like you."
However, the message that they end up sending is "Get angry and don't like me." If you don't have empathy for them, don't get angry, instead, laugh at the irony.
