I just read a question that stated they were planning their daughters 16th already, & its in 2008! I've seen the t.v shows where the kids get a $100,000 dollar party plus a car, but thought that was few and far between. Especially as it looked like the parents really couldn't afford it. Do people really spoil their kids that much - & is it the most important birthday someone can have?

.....as they are in the US?

I'm not talking mass consumption or even moderately, but
a glass of champagne, a glass of beer, a wine spritzer or something light a few times during the entire pregnancy?

I have heard, I don't know where, that some women drink guinness while pregnant in the UK or Ireland.

What is the local wisdom about drinking every once in a blue moon while pregnant over there?

In America, it's Naziism, if you have one glass, they scare you into thinking your kid will have fetal alcohol syndrome.

My husband's family is buried in a cemetery in his hometown which is about 100 miles from mine. I always wanted to buried next to my grandmother and I have a plot there along with my family we bought before I married him. He wants to be with his family and I've always been told the wife goes with the husband. What's right?

To my knowledge I have not done anything incorrect. I am always
on time,I have never taken off work,I communicate when needed.
I am not perfect but this is strange to me also and I just want to know
what is the matter. The westcoast is not so direct as the eastcoast
but to give me no reason is just not fair. Before I except this meeting
should I asked again?
Again thank you so much for your response

Like every time he visits he says. How is that coffee table working out for you? or How is that deck working out that I helped you with? He has done like three things for me in my entire life, and he keeps mentioning them. I HAVE thanked him for his help, the coffee table etc. Aren't parents just supposed to help? I do with my kids....

As of 01-01-07, I began a strict Kosher only diet and have already lost 5 pounds. I researched how a Kosher priest cuts the fat as he blesses the food. I'm not sure if he is cutting fatty chunks off the meat or removing the fat out of eggs. Regardless how he does it - none of them have capitalized on it. How can I become a Kosher priest so I can become the next fitness billionaire by marketing Kosher recipes? This will definitely be bigger than Dr.Atkins, Jenny Craig and weight watchers put together.

I think they're having a party for everyone in this class to celebrate the end of the class and they basically implied that everyone with the class was invited but never talked to me about it. What makes me wonder is I don't really drink (though I don't mind going to parties where people drink) and the person who organized it was talking to some other people who don't drink and was trying to convince them to go but never talked to me. And the thing is I haven't really talked to people lately I've been withdrawn and I have a reputatition for never going to parties, (but I hardly ever get invited)

I park my car away from other vehicles in an almost empty car park so I get more excercise, and don't have to worry about hitting another car when I open the door. When I come back to my car someone has usually parked either side of me - even if the car park is still empty. Is our herding instinct really that strong?

If I'd have it my way I would simply ignore this bee-atch, but my work requires me to be in contact communication with her. Everytime I ask her about anything she would tilt her head and look at me as if I'm an insect or something before answering my question without even looking at me!

I need your opinions guys!

I'm attending a community college. This is my second semester. I'm 19, brunette, 5'9", and fairly attractive. I am really shy and I don't speak a lot. For some reason I've picked up on dislike from people around me at school. This may sound paranoid, but it's getting somewhat obvious. People stare at me all the time. This girl beside me in History kept stealing glances at me today. It's stuff like this all the time. The worst is from guys. I've almost come to the conclusion that guys aren't nice to women period. Why do guys have such attitudes towards me? I catch people glaring at me or if I volunteer anything class, there's a ripple of laughter or some whispers. I DON'T GET IT! I don't say anything dumber than most of the other students. In fact, most of what I say is pertinent to the discussion! So could someone please tell me why I am having such a problem with other people. I know I'll never have a bf or get married....

A friend of mine went out for a night on the town and her ATM card was on hold, so she needed to borrow money. We also stayed in a hotel, which we were sharing the cost of. I have not received anything so far and it's going on 3 weeks. How long should I wait, or how do I bring it up?

I live in DC and I have a neighbor who lives in the apartment next to me, and he has parties from Sunday throught Saturday (I am not joking about this). These parties somtimes lasts unitl 5 or 6 am.His music is so loud that it causes his speakers to vibrate and the vibration comes through my bedroom walls, and I can't sleep during the night. I have spoken to him several times and have asked him to turn the volume down; he would turn the volume down for awhile, but afterwards he would turn the volume up again disturbing my sleep. I have gone to the landlord and complained, even though the landlord would speak to my neighbor about this, he would still play his music very loud. Last weekend, I called the police and filed a complaint, the police came to the apartment building and asked him to turn the music down. He did turn the music down and I could hear him making rude comments towards me. I am tired of waking up in the morning with headaches because of lack of sleep.

I often feel uncomfortable with using the word please at the end of a question especially if I use 'may I' or 'could I' at the beginning of it. I always say thankyou afterwards, but have always felt 'may I' to be an acceptable replacement for 'please.' Am I being rude?

There are a couple of girls that just hate my guts and I have no idea why! I am a very patient person, but they are seriously irritating me, they are so rude they call me a slut, whore, and skank everytime I pass them! It's gotten to the point where they marked on my locker where I keep all of my stuff, it's really elementary. I don't think my boss really likes me either. I would tell her that I am seriously uncomfortable around them but I know she won't listen. I am thinking about quiting my job and just let those snobs have their way.
On top of that I'm sort of stressed cause I just made a huge move....does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to make them stop or should I just quit and find another job?
