so this saturday i'm having a xmas party at my house. With about 100 people. And it's going to be a French Pot luck.

And I came up with the idea that we should vote on the person who made the most original french dish. The is going to be 3 runner ups.

I want to give a $30 gift card to the 1st winner. $20 to the 2nd place winner. and $10 to the 3rd. But I don't know what place I should get the giftcards from?????

I was thinking of getting a GC from best buy, wal-mart ,cvs pharmacy, I also thought about a restaurant and a movie. But then I was like naaah.
maybe a department store at the mall but which one???? hahahha
this is fustrating...

I got to saturday to think about it. But i want it to be something that a guy or a girl would like.

thanks in advance....

USA is new to me, as I am from India. I got to meet this nice, old man at our apartment gym. He used to be very good to me, although I dont speak American English. Today I got to know that he lives next to my home and I invited him to my home. He did come. But my husband told me that it is not advisable to bring home new people so soon in USA, unlike in India. Is it wrong?

I have no idea who I'm meant to be buying my present for, so I can't tailor it to their likes and dislikes. What could I get that's an amusing present for anyone (we're in an office)?

While running errands for work, I decided to stop & get lunch. Since I have really been in the mood for pizza, I stopped at Dominos & picked up a large pepperoni pizza. Since we have only 5 employees & 2 have already been to lunch, I told everyone that they could help themselves. A coworker asked my if I brought Cokes back & I told her no. She started complaining about not having a drink. I jokingly told her that we have water in the break room & drinks downstairs. She actually said 'I see that you are not drinking water and you did not have to go downstairs to get your drink". I told her that my drink has been on my desk all morning.
Is it me or has this person got a lot of NERVE?

That little skank was arrested after having popped some pills and smoking weed. She then decided to drive down the wrong way on a highway and the park her car in the carpool lane to talk on the cell phone, what a tramp.

My friend and I were in the cafeteria and a coworker asked to try some of my friend's food. He had his lunch, it's a fully stacked meal made cafeteria. I find that bold and disrespectful? My friend said NO, I'm eating it, the guy gave him a dirty look and left

My friend told me a story about some black girls that got mad at her on the Bus. She said her car broke down and she used the bus to get back home. While on the bus there were some black girls, about 3 of em in a group and she overheard them talking using the "N" word. She told me her phone rang and she had a 50 Cent ring tone that uses the "N" word. She said that when the ringtone went off and the "N" word was said, that the black girls made a big deal about it, and called her racist. That sounds very very ignorant to me, what is their problem?

so there is a woman I work with who, when I first started here, talked all the time about her "fiance", only to find out she really isn't engaged and so then she kept telling us he was proposing the weekend after thanksgiving, but it didn't happen then either. Now she is telling us that she is pregnant and due in july, she says she has already had an ultrasound, and having been pregnant myself that seems early (she would only be 2 months along)... how do you cope politely with a co-worker who lies about almost EVERYTHING?

So the wise educated people have decided. Never mind wether you're educated or not ... If i had Alzenheimers or Parkinson's i would rather be a guinea pig than have a monkey suffer for me in the name of scienctific progress. How about you?

My bosses are on my side. I have gotten excellent evaluation, even yesterday my boss complimented me on how I'd been doing well and thanked me for my hard work. I am still learning and still making mistakes, but I do try hard and treat everyone with respect. I am friends with several co-workers. This girl couldn't stand it that I was complimented yesterday by my boss. She made the dire mistake of talking about me in the breakroom with the door wide open, where I could hear every word. I kept my cool, and simply sent her an e-mail saying, please come to me if you have a problem with how I'm doing my work. She unloads all of this crap about how I'm undeserving and how she works harder than me, blah, blah blah...The girl has been at this company for four years and can't seem to "move up." Is she pissed that I'm moving up faster? Is she jealous? My bosses are cool with me-maybe she's pissed about that? I just don't know. I thought this person was trustworthy.

Is it acceptable to give the sign of peace (shake hands) if you're wearing gloves?
You know, during the winter, lots of people have the flu and they're sneazing and coughing during the service.
So I was wondering whether it's rude to leave my gloves on?

I dont like to eat with public forks. At my college the cafeteria uses metal forks that everyone eats with, I really dont like the idea of eating with a fork that every student has used, even though they wash them sometimes I have seen old crap stuck on them. My dad says I am being stupid, but I dont know. I just dont see why they dont have disposable eating utensils. They wash them but I am sure they dont do a real good job of it, because there are so many.
Would it be nasty to use those forks, or am I just an idiot??

I'm working for a famous company, and every time I meet new people, they are really glad for me, saying how they admire the company. But the more I work here, the more I got disappointed with the leadership there.

So when talking to people outside, should I tell them what I really think? Normally you don't want to say badly about where you work, as it may make you look bad.

and i had to park in the yard. there was enough room for one to park behind the other. But no, he decided to take up the rest of the driveway. I'm suppose to park in the garage. I went inside and asked why he parked the way he did, and he told me that he did because he was pulling a "brock" and taking up the entire driveway.

Why do people park idioticly? And not think when someone of that family might return and need to park?

What is deemed as good behaviour?

1) Doing things because you care/love someone; or for charity.
2) Doing things because you will be giulty otherwise.
3) Doing as your told by your authoritarian
4) Doing something because you will not get punished, or you will gain a reward
5) Doing something because it is siad to be the right thing to do.

It cannot be all of them since they often contradict with each other.

Like for example; killing 1 man to save 10 lives may make you feel guilty, but letting one man live would lead to 10 deaths would be worse morally.

I generally have the attitude that number 1 is the right way to live and that all must be done in a democratic way, fair and in a way that premote our human rights.

What is your verdict?

Sabre
