So the wise educated people have decided. Never mind wether you're educated or not ... If i had Alzenheimers or Parkinson's i would rather be a guinea pig than have a monkey suffer for me in the name of scienctific progress. How about you?

Actually the variances between all species result in inaccurate data when using another species,
Even pain med information is faulty for women because men were used as the guinea pigs . . .
Each species and gender need to be their own guinea pig for truly valid data results.

Would you really rather that we started testing on people first?
Researchers do start with smaller animals first - usually monkeys are the last step before moving into humans.
And no, they don't test on inmate populations - there are many federal and international guidelines on how to do research...they have to follow the rules. People volunteer for studies - no one is forced.
The testing is needed to find out what is going on with the drugs. The same people who are outraged about the animal testing are the same people screaming about new drugs that are to be re-called due to inadequate information.
And while I'm a supporter of animal rights, people come first. If you had to choose between your child and a monkey, would you really save the monkey?
And if you really feel that strongly, please don't take any medicines ever again...or you'd really be a hypocrite.

How about the thousands of inmates that big pharmaceutical companies test their new medications on? Many of them end up dying of heart failure or have their health compromised from unexpected side effects? Look it up, it's true. Every day you hear from a new drug that was very promissory but wasn't approved by the FDA because of complications during human trails. Where do you think they get their humans from? Either inmates looking for a reduced sentence or low-income patients who otherwise couldn't afford treatment and are willing to take the risk since they really haven't a choice. Is your heart with them too or just with the monkeys?

I am sure that you could volunteer to be experimented on and would be very useful to medical science. Animals in nature are very cruel in order to survive. Cats kill mice for fun. People are cruel and always have been. It is called survival. I think the proportion of animals used for experiments are comparatively small, compared with people being used for experimentation throughout history, say by the Germans and even as far back as the Egyptians. This is an emotive subject without an easy answer because it is not black and white. Too many extremists are involved, and when you are unable to negotiate you cannot come to any compromise as with religion you have to give a little in order to progress and understand all the views put before you in this complex and irrational world.

Guinea pigs make a super type of ordinary noises yet its thoroughly prevalent so do no longer panic! believe me, I even have 2 guinea pigs and that they try this all the time. look up guinea pig noises on google and it will coach you different noises they make. wish this facilitates (=

would not like it at all they should not be a guinea pig if I was ill I would prefere to try the drugs myself than harm a monkey or any other animal

.don't like monkeys much anyway.Smelly hairy things that eat their own ****.But...I think they ought to use chavs to experiment on. They could stick electrodes to their heads to see if they can find any work in them and what makes them breed so prolifically. They could test after shave, soap and deodorant,washing powder, shampoo.The list is endless.If we run out of chavs we could start emptying the prisons of paedophiles and murderers and the like.As for being experimented on yourselves.Oh please! One red hot probe up your anus and you would soon be yelling for a chimp.Or maybe not.

. I personally think that murderers and rapists should be used as guinea pigs, they are no-good after-all. Monkeys are cute , save the monkeys, i love monkeys.
