My friend and I were in the cafeteria and a coworker asked to try some of my friend's food. He had his lunch, it's a fully stacked meal made cafeteria. I find that bold and disrespectful? My friend said NO, I'm eating it, the guy gave him a dirty look and left

I am cringing with embarrassment! That co-worker must have been raised by wolves. I would rather die from hunger than do what he did - the arrogance! Your friend should have been the one giving the dirty look.

I agree. Offering to share a bite of food with a friend or family member is one thing, but asking a co-worker, acquaintance, or stranger for some of their lunch is just rude. Especially if they have a meal of their own! I am happy to share the food I have with someone who is homeless and hungry (and living in a large city, I have ample opportunity to do so), but if you can afford to buy your own lunch, you should have the sense to purchase food you enjoy. No need to bum it off of your co-workers.

I know in school that kids often will wait until a student is done and then say " Are you going to eat the rest of that? ....Do you mind if I do?" and they leave it at that. Although sharing food in school goes against the rules so many do it. For some students it will be the only meal that they get that day so many kids don't mind giving their uneaten food to them.

May be your coworker is from India or the middle east. In many asian cultures, group dining is common. In this case, you put food in large pots in the middle and sit around and eat from the same pot. It is quite common to find Indians sharing food in restuarents. May be it is just a difference in culture. Remember your way of naming the food as "mine" and "his" may look way too obnoxious and selfish to somebody who comes from a different culture.

Look at the mango tree! It doesnt discrimate whether it is a good person or a rapist or a white man who is plucking the fruits. Mangoes taste gooooood! to everybody!!. God also doesnt descriminate and write labels on food. Let go. Your are always welcome to my home and can have boiled rice and curry with me any time you want. LOL

That wasn't impolite of your friend. I would have done the same. If the person was a homeless guy I would have bought him a clean plate food rather then share any germs I might have.

Serves the coworker right. If he wanted it he should get up and buy some of his own instead of mooching off everyone else.

Now now, we need to be understaning. When a patient forgets, we need to remind them to take their meds. hehe
